What we like about this Panorama XL gaming PC
First up, you’ve got the powerhouse RTX 5080 graphics card, which is one of the best GPUs for 4K gaming on the market. As part of the 50-series, it’s built on Nvidia’s new Blackwell Architecture, which boasts faster and higher bandwidth GDDR7 VRAM, overall improvements in efficiency, and new features such as DLSS 4 and MFG, which can be used to enhance gaming performance significantly beyond what the card is capable of in its raw state. We’ve reviewed the RTX 5080 here in our testing labs, and were very impressed with its 4K performance. You can read our full review to see how it got on with a variety of different games, but to give you an idea, it can easily handle 4K, ultra settings with ray tracing at very playable framerates without the use of DLSS.
When it comes to the CPU, this build ops for the middle of the pack Intel Core Ultra processor, the 7 265KF. This processor is a very good option for those who are looking for something more versatile for productivity, creative workflows, and AI-assisted tasks, as it boasts a much higher core and thread count than your typical Ryzen X3D processor and dedicated NPU. We tested a similar Intel Core 7 265K and were very impressed with its performance. On top of that, now that it’s been out for a while, some of the best value RTX 5080 gaming PCs are often those with this CPU in them.
Storage and RAM are way up there with the best you can get with this PC, coming in at a massive 96GB of DDR5 and a huge 4TB NVMe SSD. This is the type of level you’d want if you’re a power user, you play very demanding simulator titles, or you’re working with a huge amount of data and RAM-intensive applications at once. This storage is something you won’t have to upgrade anytime soon, even if you’re using it for 4K footage and large AAA games.
Considerations before buying
While the 265KF Intel processor is a good option, it is still the middle-of-the-road offering from the new lineup, and you may find that if you scale back on the arguably overkill amount of RAM and enormous SSD, you could get a rig with the superior Intel Core i9 285K instead, for around the same price. It’s also worth noting that if simply having an RTX 5080 in your build is the number one priority, there are other less expensive options that you can go for, which still pack a punch, but may opts for an older CPU, such as something from Intel’s 14th generation, or perhaps even one of the Ryzen ‘X’ models released a few years ago.
