Imagine turning on your PC, and as it goes through the boot process, you notice something on the screen. The ghostly remnants of the user interface from your favorite game. You realise with mounting horror that you've been playing it so much that the static screen elements have burned themselves into your OLED monitor.
This scenario is exactly what MSI claims it can prevent with its OLED Care 2.0. At Computex 2025, some of MSI's latest monitors have been displayed for visitors to inspect, and they contain some bold claims.
OLED Care 2.0 stress-tested at Computex 2025
One monitor on display at the event reads: “Stress-Tested for Burn-In. Guaranteed for 3 Years.” This testing is based on 8 hours a day uptime and is accompanied by the badges for the 3-year MSI warranty and OLED Care 2.0. This technology includes features that have become standard in many gaming monitors, such as pixel shift, pixel refresh, and taskbar detection.

As for MSI’s new OLED 3.0 Care monitors, which also advertises the same 3-year guarantee, there’s also ‘Real-Time Human Detection.' This feature uses an ‘AI Care Sensor' to detect if a person is actively sitting in front of a monitor. This can determine if the monitor is in use, and powers the screen down if no one is actively looking at it. It can also adjust various settings to protect the monitor and boost efficiency.
The flagship for these features is the MSI MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 gaming monitor. Despite its lack of a catchy name, it boasts a 500Hz refresh rate, a long lifespan, DisplayHDR, a 0.03ms response time, and a resolution of 2560 x 1440.
