Needless to say, this isn’t a crossover we’d ever expect. MSI has announced several new Toy Story-themed components in a limited-edition promotion for the 30th anniversary of the franchise. The original movie first premiered in November 1995. Based around some of the most iconic characters in the franchise, including a Buzz Lightyear-themed RTX 5070, the new hardware includes a motherboard, GPU, AIO cooler, power supply, and PC case.
The sad news for anyone looking to purchase any of this is that the promotion is limited to Taiwan. Five components are getting a Toy Story-themed makeover; you can check out the full details on MSI’s website here.

Pre-orders are now available on the official MSI store. As per the details on the store and FAQ, these components can not be bought separately; instead, the set arrives as a prebuilt PC. Third-party retailers may offer other options for the CPU, RAM, and storage, though. Customers who pre-order between June 20 and June 26 can enjoy a NT$1,000 discount, dropping the original NT$80,900 price tag down to NT$79,900 – you’ll also get 2,000 MSI Reward points.
- Woody motherboard – Z890 GAMING PLUS
- Buzz Lightyear graphics card – MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Gaming Trio
- Little Green Men (Alien) AIO cooler – MAG CORELIQUID
- Zurg power supply – MAG A850GL PCIE5
- Space Crane PC case – MAG PANO 110R
As you can see, the GPU is based on MSI’s RTX 5070 Gaming Trio. We actually reviewed the OC version of this card, if you want to take a closer look at how it performs. And with a Z890 motherboard, it is compatible with Intel’s latest desktop processors using the LGA 1851 socket. This includes the current flagship Intel Core Ultra 9 285K.
Each component in the set comes with a 2-year warranty, and to reiterate, the Toy Story series is only available in Taiwan. According to the official FAQ, overseas shipping is not an option either. Additionally, “The Toy Story series is sold in limited quantities and will not be replenished once sold out,” so you can be sure it will become a collector’s item. Even once the components become outdated, the PC case will remain relevant.
