New Ryzen 9 9900X price leak spotted on Amazon Netherlands for $549
Table of Contents
AMD’s Ryzen 9000-series is set to launch in less than two weeks now, and despite not having an official price point just yet, we’re starting to see an increased number of price leaks surface.
The latest leak to come out of the Ryzen 9000-series saga is from Amazon Netherlands – who have been spotted listing the upcoming Ryzen 9 9900X CPU for an intriguing price of $549. This comes after a slew of price leaks and rumors surfaced over the weekend – one being an unlikely text exchange between an Anandtech Forum user and a Best Buy worker.
The newest price leak offers a bit more credibility, with Amazon Netherlands, Amazon France, and Amazon Italy all showcasing fairly similar price points. As you can see from the image below, despite the pricing being removed from the official listing, Google still offers us a sneak peek of what we can expect.

Sadly, the flagship 9950X wasn’t part of the price leaks in NL, meaning we’re still pretty much in the dark on that front.
Ryzen 9 9900X price leak looks attractive
Unlike the texts we saw over the weekend (that stated the flagship would be $499), the recent Amazon price leak seems to be more in line with what we expected. If the second-flagship CPU were to launch for the pricing shown in the current listing, it would make for a very attractive prospect – especially when you factor in some of the recent benchmark results the chips have been posting.
Processor | Cores/Threads | Boost Clock | Cache (L2+L3) | TDP | Price USD | Price EU |
Ryzen 9 9950X | 16C/32T | Up To 5.7GHz | 80MB | 170W | – | – |
Ryzen 9 9900X | 12C/24T | Up To 5.6GHz | 76MB | 120W | $549 | €508 |
Ryzen 7 9700X | 8C/16T | Up To 5.5GHz | 40MB | 65W | $449 | €406 |
Ryzen 5 9600X | 6C/12T | Up To 5.4GHz | 38MB | 65W | $349 | €319 |
The 9700X was also spotted by Guru3D for $449 (roughly), alongside the 9600X which was around $349. Of course, none of the pricing is official yet – but having seen these leaks from Amazon in the past, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were pretty accurate.
The 9000-series CPU launch has been set for July 31st, 2024, meaning we don’t have long to wait. If you’re interested in where to buy the new 9950X, 9900X, 9700X, or 9600X, then check out our bespoke pages.
