One of the biggest fixes in this update is related to WiFi. Some users with the Steam Deck OLED had reported problems with their WiFi not working as expected after previous updates. Valve has now addressed this WiFi regression, which should bring back stable WiFi connectivity.
There are several other technical fixes included, too. For example, there was a bug that caused visual corruption when using Sharp upscaling with HDR or 10-bit applications while interacting with the Steam overlay. That issue has now been fixed. Another visual problem, where the cursor had a strange line of corruption when using Sharp upscaling, has also been resolved. Valve also fixed a small but annoying bug where the cursor would disappear in a section of the screen when using the magnifier tool.
The new update also brings improvements to how the Steam overlay works with different key combinations. Some key bindings that involved Shift, Super key, Right Alt, or Enter weren’t always working properly, but this has now been fixed. On top of that, Valve fixed an issue where certain overlay key bindings would accidentally pass input to games, which could interrupt gameplay.

The update didn’t just focus on bug fixes, as it also added new accessibility features. Steam Deck users now have access to optional color filters. Plus, the Orca screen reader and eSpeak NG text-to-speech tools have also been added, making the device more accessible for players who need assistance with reading text.
On the audio side, Valve addressed a bug where volume keys sometimes didn’t properly adjust the volume of the 3.5mm headphone jack. An earlier update had introduced audio glitches in God of War: Ragnarok, but that issue has now been fixed.
Outside of the Deck, Valve also recently upgraded the Steam overlay for PC/Windows players, with more metrics including native vs AI-generated framerates and core component usage.
