It seems that whenever a new wave of hardware hits the scene, we tend to see some hefty discounts on older gen items. Now that sometimes means that you’re getting a product that isn’t that great, but sometimes you can find a real winner.
Case in point, we’ve found a gaming PC with a huge discount on Newegg that houses arguably one of the best CPUs for gaming – the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, and an impressive RTX 4070 Ti Super. Plus…it has looks to kill.
You can score this gaming pc for $700 off at the time of writing, so here’s a quick breakdown of its key features and specs.

CPU and GPU
So this gaming PC has a powerful RTX 4070 Ti Super, a card which we reviewed here at PC Guide. This card is a bit of a no-brainer option when compared against the RTX 4070 Ti, as it offers much better value for money and performance. Notably, it’s great for 1440p and 4K gaming, and in our review we saw that titles like Cyberpunk 2077 in 4K without DLSS could get around 44fps. We found it capable in ‘all but harsh’ 4K environments in fact.
The CPU, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D is one of the best processors out there, and we gave it a solid 4.5 stars in our review. This CPU is built on AM5 architecture and boasts 8 cores, 16 threads, up to 5 GHz boost clock , a massive 96 MB of L3 cache, and 120W TDP. All in all, this CPU ticks basically every box you could think of, but it works especially well with games thanks to its boost clock and massive L3 cache. We did note that it’s still ‘a little limited’ when it comes to productivity tasks, but that shouldn’t be a massive issue here.

RAM and Storage
You’ve got a solid 32GB of DDR5 RAM in this build, which as you know performs almost twice as well as DDR4. RAM tends to not have super pronounced impact on gaming performance, but the effect can be seen in your standard everyday activities, such as having multiple tabs open, closing applications and so on. This build also features a 2TB NVMe SSD, which again will help to keep your system running smoothly, and reduce any in-game loading or saving times too.
Design and cooling
I think the design of this gaming PC is seriously impressive and definitely a statement piece for your setup. The wrap around transparent panel gives you a window in to the PC, putting each powerful component on full display. That includes its impressive liquid cooling setup too.
Should you go for it, or wait till Black Friday?
It’s not uncommon to see deals like this pop up on Newegg, especially with ‘older’ components, however, we’d say this is actually a deal well worth taking note of if you’re on the hunt for a new PC. Black Friday is on the horizon, and we’ll likely see early deals start coming in around two weeks before the official sales. The deals will look great, but aren’t guaranteed to be that much better than deals like these.
In terms of whether you should hold out for pre-built options with the new Ryzen 9 9800X3D (rumored to be incoming on 7th November), we’ll leave that to you to decide. Be warned though, we’re expecting those gaming PCs to be way more expensive…
