Cooler Master TD5 Pro – GeForce RTX 5080

Intel Core Ultra 9-285K – 32GB DDR5 6000MHz – 2TB M.2 NVMe SSD – Windows 11 – 360mm AIO – Gaming PC (AYG-M6C9-N68GIA32-N1)

What we like about this Cooler Master TD5 Pro

RTX 5080 graphics card

You’ve probably got the best graphics card for most people when it comes to 4K gaming in this build, the RTX 5080. Built on Nvidia’s new Blackwell architecture, it’s a step up from the 40-series as it features both new and fast GDDR7 VRAM, plus it also has new AI capabilities and features, such as DLSS 4 and MFG. In terms of performance, we’d recommend checking out our full RTX 5080 FE review to see how it performed across all resolutions; however, with its target resolution of 4K, it can easily handle most demanding AAA titles at ultra settings with ray tracing enabled. For example, Cyberpunk 2077 was playable at over 30fps at 4K ultra settings with ray tracing, and that was pure rasterization. Impressive considering this is one of the most demanding games to run.

Intel Core Ultra 9-285K

This CPU is a good choice for those who aren’t primarily using their PC for gaming. It boasts a very large core and thread count, high boost clock speed, decent-sized L3 cache, plus a dedicated NPU for AI-accelerated tasks, which make it a formidable, versatile processor that’s great for multitasking and heavy-duty productivity, as well as good for gaming. In our review, we were impressed with its great temperatures under full loads, the balance between performance and efficiency, and multi-core performance. Still, we’d say a Ryzen X3D model would be better for gaming, as they have much larger L3 caches.

32GB of RAM and 2TB of storage

This is the combination that makes the most sense for this type of build. 32GB of DDR5 RAM should ensure that both games run smoothly, as well as demanding applications such as Adobe Premiere Pro, and more. The storage is also excellent for hybrid usage, allowing you space for a decent number of games in addition to various other large files, such as 4K footage, for example.

Considerations before buying

This is a fantastic gaming PC and one that boasts incredibly high build quality thanks to Cooler Master’s own products being used, such as its CPU cooler, PC case, and even PSU. Based on its processor, this is more for hybrid content creation and gaming usage, rather than flat-out gaming, as we did note that the 9-285K came up short against some of the 14th Gen alternatives. If you’re sticking with Intel and don’t mind skipping out on the dedicated NPU, we’d say you could save some cash and grab some extra gaming performance by going for an RTX 5080/ Intel i9-14900K PC instead. A Ryzen 7 9800X3D/ RTX 5080 combo is also very strong when it comes to gaming, too, and cheaper than this build in most cases.
