With Prime Big Deal Days in full swing you’d be forgiven if you were currently searching all the offers for the ultimate gaming PC deal. There are some excellent gaming PC deals to be had, but in my view Newegg should be high up on you list of places to check too – especially for pre-builds.
I’ve spotted a pretty hefty deal going on a Skytech gaming PC which has both an RTX 4080 Super and a Ryzen 7 7800X3D. It’s currently $600 off and comes in at $2,499.99, which granted isn’t cheap, but it’s a whole lot less than its original $3099.99 price tag.

GPU and CPU
Let’s first take a look at the graphics card and processor. You’ve got the impressive RTX 4080 Super in here, which is one of the best GPUs you can get. We actually reviewed a version of this card and gave it respectable 4/5 rating – something we don’t give lightly! The question is, what can you expect in practical terms from this card?
If we take our testing with Cyberpunk 2077, which is pretty intensive, we saw this card averaging ‘125fps in 1440p and 51fps in 4K natively’. We also saw that it didn’t take too much of a hit with Ray-Tracing turned on either, when we tested it on ‘The Finals’ on epic settings. In fact, it averaged 189fps in 1440p and 99fps in 4K.
Practically speaking for gaming, this card makes short work of anything you can throw at it, and is quite similar if not better to the impressive RX 7900XT, which we also reviewed and gave a similar high score.
The CPU, the seemingly illusive Ryzen 7 7800X3D has been paired with this GPU for this build. This 8 core/ 16 thread processor is seen by many as one of the best CPUs for gaming, and in our review we gave it noteworthy 4.5/5. This CPU has a base clock speed of 3.4GHz and a boost clock speed of 4.5GHz. To put this into perspective, anything above 3.5GHz is generally seen as a good level for gamers and people who may be putting it through its paces with CPU intensive tasks like rendering for instance.
RAM and SSD
This gaming PC has a 2TB Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD, which gives you a load of space for a pretty large gaming library, especially if you’re going to be downloading a tonne of AAA-titles given that some of them tip the scales at over 100GB nowadays. In terms of performance, Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSDs are some of the best you can get, and can improve loading and saving speeds, and overall performance when it comes to gaming.
As for the RAM, you’re getting DDR5 5600 here which is more than enough for most people, but not as high as you can go. Either way, having 64GB of DDR5 RAM is definitely something that will help your system run smoothly and have a beneficial effect when gaming too.
Design and cooling
With this gaming PC you can see that Skytech has approached the design very much with performance in mind. It features a temperature display that can show you what’s going on with the GPU and CPU. When it comes to cooling, you’re getting 360mm AIO liquid cooling, which should assist in keeping the CPU temperatures as low as possible.
There’s RGB here here too, and the inner workings of the PC can be seen clearly via the side glass panel. This is great for anyone looking for something that really stands out in their gaming setup, and should look brilliant when paired with other RGB peripherals.
