NVIDIA has announced a slew of new GeForce RTX-equipped flagship gaming laptops from leading partners such as MSI, Gigabyte, and Asus at Computex 2022.
These join the now over 180 laptop designs tapping into the full potential of NVIDIA’s mobile GeForce RTX GPUs and attached technologies such as RTX Ray Tracing, DLSS, NVIDIA Broadcast, NVIDIA Reflex, AI-powered Max-Q, and Game Ready drivers. NVIDIA noted a 35% growth in GeForce gaming laptop sales in the last year alone, sign that gamers are increasingly turning to portable solutions.
Here’s a brief breakdown of the flagship laptops showcased by NVIDIA during its Computex 2022 keynote.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti MSI Raider GE67 HX
First up, we have the MSI Raider GE67 HX. Configurable with NVIDIA GPUs up to the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, the MSI Raider GE67 features Intel’s brand new 16-core 12th Gen Alder Lake-HX CPUs alongside up to 128 GB DDR5-4800 memory and support for PCIe Gen5 SSDs. Elsewhere, the MSI Raider GE67 HX bundles in a sharp 240 Hz OLED display, promising buttery-smooth refresh rates and fantastic clarity. Now word on price or availability yet.
Gigabyte Aorus 17x
Next up, Gigabyte unveiled the new flagship Aorus 17x. It boasts a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, Alder Lake-HX i9-12900HX CPU, and up to 64 GB of DDR5-4800 memory. Gigabyte has also squeezed in a 17.3″ 1920×1080 360Hz display into a 15″ chassis by removing the bezels almost entirely. Other features include Wi-Fi 6E, Windows Hello video cam login, DTS Sound, and Thunderbolt 4 connectivity.
Asus ROG Flow X16
Rounding off NVIDIA’s flagship gaming laptop debuts is the Asus ROG Flow X16. Positioned as a refresh of the X13, the X16 upgrades to a 16″ mini-LED 165 Hz display with 1100 nites peak brightness and DCI-P3 100% color accuracy, powered by a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti and AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS CPU. The Asus ROG Flow X16 has ultra-fast USB-C charging and a 90Wh battery. Asus stopped short of sharing a price or availability details.
