New sales data from the South Korean marketplace shows NVIDIA’s mid-range RTX 4060 as the brand’s most popular GPU amongst gamers – but could the RTX 4070 Super surpass it?
It’s no secret that NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX lineup is the best-selling choice right now, with both custom PC builders and DIY markets buying the GPUs in abundance. Whether you’re a gamer, a miner, or just someone looking to build a nice all-round PC, team Green seems to be most people’s go-to option.
Will NVIDIA’s RTX 4070 SUPER become the brand’s most popular GPU for gaming?
But which of NVIDIA’s GPUs is most popular right now? New sales data from the Korean marketplace shows that the mid-range RTX 4060 is the most popular card among DIY builders – no surprise there right? What is surprising, is the sharp spike in RTX 4070 SUPER sales since its arrival – which, if continued, could see it become the most popular GPU for gamers.
The sales data comes from Danawa Research which offers sales statistics from many major retail outlets within South Korea. While the data clearly showcases the popularity of the 4060 + 4060 Ti, it also shows a huge spike in RTX 4070 Super sales. It also suggests that many RTX 4070 users upgraded to the 4070 SUPER on launch, with the market share for that card dropping from around 7.24% to 2.29%.
That said, the RTX 4070 SUPER has risen to an impressive 14.86% market share since its launch, making it one of the quickest growing GPUs in NVIDIA’s 40-series range. Could it become the most popular card in the brand’s arsenal, maybe – that much is unclear right now.
What is clear, however, is that the 40-series SUPER Refresh cards have clearly been a huge success – and it looks set to continue as sales don’t really show any signs of slowing.
