The Oblivion remaster was one of the most anticipated reworks, and after years of hard work, it was a huge success. Not only did it have relatively humble system requirements, but it was also optimized enough to hit 60 FPS at native 4K. However, the true potential of games like these comes from mods, and while it already has over 100 mods, another mod, inspired by games like Hogwarts Legacy and God of War, aims to make the playing experience a little more familiar for first-time Oblivion fans.

There are a couple of camera mods for Oblivion Remastered

The Improved Camera (Hogwarts Legacy – The Witcher 3 Style) mod, made by firesyrup, is an improvement over the Improved Camera: Resident Evil 4 & God of War Style mod. How it differs is that it moves the character up and to the left, giving a full view of the character model, replicating the look and feel from the aforementioned games. As you probably know, games like Hogwarts Legacy and God of War were instant hits, and The Witcher 3 remains a fan-favorite over a decade later.

Let’s stick with the latest Improved Camera mod from now on. Previously, you could change your FOV to see more of the in-game world, but with this mod, it should be easier to see your surroundings, whether you're in a fight or looting. There are two modes, far camera and near camera, both with varying settings.

The near camera should give you an advantage when it comes to exploring or fighting in close quarters. On the other hand, the far camera provides better spatial awareness while fighting, which can be the key to victory.

In a screenshot, we can see an archer with the vanilla and Hogwarts Legacy style. There is a huge difference in how we see the character model, as in the former, the archer is closer to us and covers more of the screen.

In the Hogwarts style, the archer moves outward and to the right, giving us a clear view of the previously hidden landscape, which can be vital for gathering information while engaging enemies. Even if you’re perfectly happy with the vanilla camera, mods like these can help fans experience the game in a (slightly) different way.
