Key features of this Skytech Azure gaming PC
RX 9070 XT graphics card
If you’re looking for a great alternative to the RTX 5070 Ti, then the RX 9070 XT is the way to go. In terms of raw performance, it’s comparable to Nvidia’s offering and is a great card for 1440p and 4K gaming. It’s built on RDNA 4 architecture, which means it features improvements to both ray tracing and AI performance, and there are features like FSR4 upscaling, which can be used to further enhance gameplay. From a price-to-performance ratio, the RX 9070 XT is hard to beat, especially as it features 16GB of VRAM, but it’s worth noting that this is older GDDR6, and not the newer, faster GDDR7 featured in most of the 50-series. Read our full review to see how it got on in our testing.
Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor
An excellent pairing with the RX 9070 XT, especially as it’s the more cost-effective option to the more recently released 7 9800X3D, but still shares many of the same characteristics. The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is still one of the best gaming CPUs on the market, boasting 8 cores, 16 threads, a boost clock speed of 5GHz, and a massive 96MB L3 cache. It’s the 3D V-cache that is the most notable feature here, as it’s designed to dramatically reduce frame latency and improve overall performance at higher fps. Read our full review for more details.
Storage and RAM
A classic combo for high-end gaming PCs, this build features 32GB of DDR5 and a 2TB SSD. This amount of RAM is going to be great for gaming, productivity, and multitasking, and the 2TB storage is more than enough for even very large gaming libraries, too. It’s not a Gen5 SSD, but that’s not a big deal considering they’re only really found in the very top-end gaming builds nowadays.
Things to consider
The big question here is whether you should pay a bit more and go for an RTX 5070 Ti instead. It all comes down to budget and whether you want some of the very latest features, like multi-frame generation, GDDR7, and 4th-gen ray tracing and 5th-gen ray tracing cores. In short, they’re similar when it comes to raw performance, but the RTX 5070 Ti has the edge with its extra tricks up its sleeve. Typically, you can find an RTX 5070 Ti build for around $2,200 when discounted, so check out our top deals below if you’re still weighing up your options.
