What we like about this ABS Cucylone Aqua gaming PC
Good mid-range CPU and GPU for 1440p gaming and productivity
This build features one of the best graphics cards for 1440p gaming, without breaking the bank, and a very impressive, versatile, and recently released Intel CPU. The RTX 5070 is designed primarily with QHD gaming in mind, although it can be used for 4K if you tweak a few settings in-game. It’s built on Nvidia’s new Blackwell Architecture, so you’ve got 12GB of new and improved VRAM, plus new features like DLSS 4, with Multi-frame generation, to push performance even higher. In our RTX 5070 review, it performed admirably at its target 1440p resolution. Highlights from our RTX 5070 review and benchmarks include 108fps and 45fps with ray tracing enabled in Cyberpunk 2077, and an impressive 212fps at 1440p with ray tracing on Doom Eternal. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF is also very good for the price, and packs a large core and thread count (20 + 20) alongside a high boost clock speed of 5.3 GHz, and a hefty 30MB L3 cache. There’s also a dedicated NPU with 13 peak TOPS for AI-accelerated workloads. In our review, we thought it was a great processor that can practically do it all, and it makes this PC a great option for hybrid usage, such as if you’re using it for gaming and content creation.
High-speed RAM
This build features 32GB of DDR5-6000 RAM, which is some of the fastest you can get, and should help with keeping your overall experience feeling snappy and responsive. There’s 32GB of it, too, which is more than enough to handle even some of the most demanding titles and applications without encountering too much in the way of slowdown.
Other standout features
There’s a decent-sized 1TB Gen4 SSD in this build, which is going to be enough for a handful of large AAA games, and it should be fast enough to reduce loading and boot times, too. The CPU cooler is from Cooler Master, which is one of the top dogs on the market when it comes to quality, effective, and quiet cooling solutions for PCs, and you’ve got an appropriate 650W 80+ Gold PSU powering this system.
Is this PC right for you?
This PC is surprisingly affordable, given it packs a decent 50-series GPU and a new Intel CPU, but there are some considerations you’ll want to make before diving in. First off, the RTX 5070 was originally marketed as having RTX 4090 performance, but for a fraction of the price. From our testing, it didn’t come close, and we’d say that its 12GB of VRAM makes it a challenging sell for anything over 1440p. If you want something that’s more punchy, consider an RXT 5070 Ti 16GB build, which is better at both 1440p and 4K. In the sales, you can find these for around $2000 or a touch below, and they are often paired with either the same CPU as this build or a Ryzen 7 7800X3D or similar.
