Yesterday, Corsair shared that it has updated its popular PSUs, the RMx series, with ATX 3.1 compliance with a native ATX 12V-2×6 connector, among other improvements. These are some of the best power supplies for gaming on the market, so a refresh is more than welcome.
The RMx Series power supply units come with a Gold-certified efficiency as well as an A+ noise rating from Cybenetics, which means users can expect low-noise and efficient operation. Further, the PSUs feature fully modular flexible cables, which can be used with even complex PC builds.
Corsair RMx Series updated with three new models
The updated Corsair RMx Series is available in three variants – 750W, 850W, and 1000W models. As mentioned earlier, each of the models is fully ATX 3.1 compliant. The PSUs now have a native 12V-2×6 connector, which makes them compatible with the latest and future high-end GPUs.
Furthermore, the 12v-2×6 cable includes low-profile combs that aim to give the PC build a clean, clutter-free look that will compliment the graphics card. Plus, the power supplies also have a new enclosure with a low-restriction fan grill and improved connector layout.
Depending on the model that you go for, the PSUs might measure 150mm x 86mm x 160mm and include a wide variety of cables and connectors. As far as cooling is concerned, the power supply is equipped with a 140mm Fluid-Dynamic Bearing fan that has a magnetic dome structure. Further, users also get a manual fan override knob at the back of the unit, which gives users more control.
The updated RMx PSUs are compatible with Corsair Premium Individually Sleeved Type 4 PSU cables and ARGB PSU cable strips. Users looking to add some color to their PCs can get these accessories separately.
Regarding availability, Corsair said in its official announcement that the newly updated PSUs are available for purchase immediately worldwide. Buyers can find the updated RMx Series PSUs on Corsair’s website, as well as authorized retailers and distributors.
