Pragmata is Capcom’s latest action-adventure title, and it has been generating a ton of interest since the release of a ‘Sketchbook Demo’ ahead of launch. The game was first revealed back in June 2020, and since then, it has gone through a relatively long development cycle with multiple delays.

Now, after years of waiting, the game is finally launching across all major platforms, including PC (via Steam). Interestingly, it won’t be available on alternative PC launchers such as the Epic Games Store, at least not yet. Pragmata was originally scheduled to launch on April 23, but Capcom actually moved the release date forward following the success of the demo version.

When does Pragmata launch today on PC?

According to Capcom, Pragmata is officially releasing on April 16. However, due to time zone differences, most players around the world will actually get access on April 17. This is fairly common with global releases, where launch times shift depending on your region. To make things easier for you, we’ve listed the release times for different regions below:

  • Los Angeles – 9 PM PT (April 16)
  • New York – 12 AM ET (April 17)
  • London – 5 AM BST (April 17)
  • Berlin – 6 AM CEST (April 17)
  • Mumbai – 9:30 AM IST (April 17)
  • Tokyo – 1 PM JST (April 17)
  • Sydney – 2 PM AEST (April 17)
  • Auckland – 4 PM NZST (April 17)

You can also find a countdown clock above, which will track the exact time remaining until launch. If you can’t see the clock, that means the game has already released, and you can dive in now. Console versions of the game – PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 – will roll out at midnight (your local time).

What is Pragmata about?

As for what the game is about, Pragmata takes players to a malfunctioning lunar research facility. The story follows Hugh, a member of an investigation team sent from Earth, and Diana, a young android who ends up saving him from the disaster. Together, they must escape the planet while dealing with an AI-controlled environment that is actively trying to stop them.

What makes the gameplay interesting is that you can control both Hugh and Diana at the same time. Hugh handles movement and combat, while Diana focuses on hacking systems, something that creates a mix of action and strategy.

As for the environment, the facility is filled with abandoned areas and traces of what once happened there, while the surface of the Moon shows strange recreations of human structures. As you move forward, you slowly learn what caused everything to fall apart and what secrets are hidden within the facility.
