Price bot catches RTX 5090 hitting new low price in one region, before quickly returning to normal

Over in Germany, a new milestone has been met as the RTX 5090 has been sold for less than €2,000 for the first time. The price of Nvidia’s flagship RTX 5090 is leaps ahead of anything below it. Launching with an MSRP of $1,999.99 in the US, it was a whopping $1,000 more expensive than the next step down, the RTX 5080.
However, grabbing one of the flagship cards for MSRP has been a struggle since launch due to poor stock availability, scalpers, and inflated prices for AIB models. Pricing for the RTX 50 series has been more generous in Europe, where we’ve already seen the 5090 drop below MSRP in the UK. And further down the tiers, the RTX 5070 & 5060 Ti also met this milestone.
RTX 5090 sells for less than €2,000 in Germany
German outlet ComputerBase reveals (via a price bot) that the RTX 5090 has sold for less than €2,000 for the first time in Germany, including VAT. This sale was spotted at a large German retailer, Mindfactory – the MSI Ventus 3X OC model in particular. Sadly, the price has already risen back up to almost €2,500, so don’t expect any widespread price drops immediately off the back of this news.
According to Nvidia’s website, the current MSRP of the RTX 5090 in the region is €2,229. However, we can see that the Founders Edition of the card is currently sold out, and there’s no way of knowing when it will come back in stock. In the meantime, we can expect to see the flagship card continue to retail above the €2K mark, but the milestone price drop isn’t something to ignore.

We’ve seen the card drop below MSRP in Finland in recent weeks, but nothing close to that €2,000 milestone. It should also be noted that Nvidia’s recommended price is slightly higher in this region due to differing VAT rates in Europe.

Over in the United States, you can expect to find many partner cards retailing closer to the $3,000 mark, with no sign of it dropping below MSRP any time soon. As an alternative, Nvidia has already launched its Priority Access program for consumers hoping to snap up one of the Founders Edition cards for a reasonable price.
