Reddit isn’t a site that is often hit with technical issues. Its huge volume of daily traffic (around 430 millions users per month)  has generally had no cause for concern but technical difficulties in the early hours today seem to have left users in the US and Australia struggling o get on the site., so if that’s you, that will be why!

Before the major downtime, Reddit had posted an update on its status page saying the site was “experiencing a high volume of errors when accessing reddit.com” and that investigations were underway.

Things then seemed to escalate with many users purporting error pages when trying to access.

A further update from Reddit said it had identified the problem and would be rolling out a fix.The issue was present on both the desktop and app versions of the site.
