If your WiFi router is struggling to reach your whole home or there are patches where it’s just dropping out, there are ways to fix that. Apart from getting a new, more powerful router in the Prime Day sales, you can instead get a range extender. Although not the perfect solution, its cheapness might be good enough for you since it does create a new network you can connect to if you don’t mesh with a TP-Link router.
Right now, the Prime Day sale has nicely put a 50% discount on the range extender. That cuts $40 off the TP-Link RE550 and drops it to $40 over the usual $80 asking price. That also puts it at the lowest price once again, according to price tracking sites, which has only happened once before.

Who is this for?
These WiFi range extenders are for those looking for a cheaper solution to pushing out their WiFi signal. Ideal for getting those dropout spots or maybe covering a farther range, like I did for a family member, and reaching out to the back of the garden. It isn’t an ideal solution, and if you don’t have an EasyMesh-compatible router, it does create a separate network, so it will have to connect to that when losing range to the first one instead, but still should provide similar speeds.
Right now, it comes at its lowest price yet, according to CamelCamelCamel. Having dropped only once to $40 at the end of 2025, it is now offering maximum savings for the second time. If you’re considering it, don’t delay too long and miss out on the Prime Day deal, which is ending soon.
