The current best graphics card on the market (certainly in terms of power) is the RTX 5090, Nvidia’s latest flagship GPU. Releasing at the tail end of January this year, the card has consistently been a heavy price investment, especially with scalping and tariffs becoming a catalyst for inflated costs. In the U.S., the card launched with an MSRP of $1,999.99, but you’ll be hard-pressed to find one even closer to this price, never mind cheaper. Unless you can make use of Nvidia’s Priority Access program.

Over in Europe, we’ve been seeing RTX 50 series cards drop in price. This has been applicable to the RTX 5080 and below, impacting the RTX 5070 the most from what we’ve seen. The 8GB RTX 5060 Ti also saw prices fall soon after launch. The flagship card, however, remained at a high price, but retailers have finally started to slash the price below MSRP. This comes a few weeks after we saw it come close in the region.

One RTX 5090 card is below MSRP in Finland & the UK

Over in the UK, we’ve spotted one card dropping just below MSRP. For reference, Nvidia lists the RTX 5090 “starting at £1,889“. However, the cheapest card from Palit is £10 below Nvidia’s recommended price at Overclockers UK and Scan. Not a massive difference, but it’s a milestone price drop nonetheless and beats the >£2K price we saw just a few weeks ago.

As for mainland Europe, the first thing to note is that while Finland uses the Euro, the card’s MSRP is not consistent across all regions. This is the result of differing VAT between countries. According to Nvidia’s website, the RTX 5090’s MSRP is €2,399 in Finland. And now, the card has been spotted for €2,299.99 at retailer Proshop (Palit’s GameRock model). This retailer also has stores in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, where you’ll find similar ongoing sales.

Unfortunately, prices remain high in the United States. While we’ve seen a growing number of models actually in stock (users on Reddit have been keen to point this out), many cards still retail close to $3,000 at popular stores such as Micro Center and Newegg. The cheapest model we could find is the Gigabyte Windforce for $2,639.99.

Speaking of Palit, its PalitMaker program was being shown off a Computex last week. Customizable GPU covers make the brand an interesting option for fans who want that extra layer of customization.
