What we like about the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and the Team Group MP44L M.2 2280 1TB

We reviewed the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and were seriously impressed with its performance across the board. It’s a brilliant AM5 CPU that boasts AMD’s 3D V-cache technology. This greatly increases the size of the L3 cache, which can have a positive effect on gaming performance – such as reducing latency and handling higher frame rates. While there are newer X3D options on the market, like the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, this CPU is a great value for money pick if you’re looking for something to pair with even the best GPUs available.

As for the Team Group NVMe SSD, it’s what we’d say a ‘middle of the road’ offering, boasting pretty impressive read and write speeds for a Gen4 option. Coming in at 1TB, it’s something that’s going to be more than okay to start with, but of course if you’re looking to max things out, you’ll want to lean towards Gen5 options with higher capacities. Overall, it’s a solid SSD, and a big win considering it’s free.
