If you're in China, you might get your hands on the new AMD CPUs as soon as they are released – thanks to this unique system by the Chinese retailer JD.com. AMD has pushed back the launch of its next CPU lineup – the Ryzen 9000 series – by a couple of weeks. It will be a while before the AMD processors hit the shelves and are available to purchase.

There is a lot of hype around the upcoming Ryzen processors – so the availability might be an issue from the start. To help potential buyers counter that, JD.com, a Chinese retail website, has come up with a solution for those who want to purchase the upcoming CPUs immediately after the release.

Buyers in China can book an opportunity to order the new AMD CPUs immediately after release

At the moment, the website has listed the four new Ryzen 9000 CPUs on its website. Buyers in China can head over to the site and reserve a spot for booking the processors as soon as they roll out. In fact, users who order the 9600X or the 9700X processor can also get a Once Human-inspired CPU cooler.

This is similar to what Amazon or some other retailers do – offer to notify interested buyers when a product becomes available. However, it should be noted that this is not a pre-order, as the prices of these products are not available, and users are not paying for them in advance. It's simply a mechanism to book a spot to order the CPUs as soon as they are released.

In any case, the prices of the AMD Ryzen 9000 series processors remain a mystery, officially at least. Earlier today, a Chinese retailer revealed the prices of the processors, which were surprisingly lower than the previous gen 7000 series. However, these might be the processors that AMD has called back, citing quality issues.

Initially, the new Ryzen CPUs were scheduled to be released on July 31st. However, AMD had a change of plans. Now, the Ryzen 9 9950X and Ryzen 9 9900X will be released on August 15th, and Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X will roll out a bit earlier on August 8th.
