At their Galaxy Unpacked launch event, which this year took place on January 22nd, at 6pm GMT / 1pm Eastern US / 10am Pacific US, Samsung unveiled all the details about when these products would hit the shelves, along with their MSRP and specification information.

As predicted, Samsung has given us around two weeks to pre order their new phones before they actually hit the shelves and pre order deliveries go out.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 release date, Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus release date, and Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra release date have all been confirmed as Friday 7th of February, 2025.

Samsung has now confirmed (most of) the specification details of their new phones at their Galaxy Unpacked event, and it turns out the leaked specs were entirely correct. As you can see below, all three phone types are tipped to come with the same latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the same 12GB of RAM as standard, and all with a maximum 120Hz refresh rate. The main differences in the Ultra version are the better cameras and WiFi 7 support, plus higher starting amount of storage (before any upgrades).

Despite fears that the Galaxy S25 lineup might come with a higher price tag than the S24 line did when they were initially released, it seems that Samsung has decided to keep their pricing exactly as it was before, and we are not complaining!

When can you pre-order the Samsung S25 Ultra?
As predicted, Samsung stuck to its usual pattern of smartphone releases and allowed you to pre order the Samsung Galaxy S25 series as soon as the Galaxy Unpacked presentation ended on Jan 22nd. How fast can the S25 Ultra charge?
Samsung confirmed that the Galaxy S25 Ultra has a 5,000mAh battery just like the previous generation, which hwe assume also comes with 45W fast-charging (though this particular details hasn’t yet been confirmed). In the S24 Ultra this enabled the phone to reach approximately 70% charge (starting from 0%) in about 30 minutes time, so we can probably expect similar results with the latest S25 Ultra model.
