Prime Big Deal Days is finally here, and there are some cracking offers ready to snap up. Samsung, as usual, is leading the pack with huge discounts across its gaming monitors, and I’ve picked out what I think are the best deals so far.
All of these monitors were way above $1000, but have now had their price slammed by up to 46% – in some cases, that means you can save up to $650.
Here are the gaming monitors with the biggest discounts I could find, plus my own thoughts on what each display brings to the table.

Okay, so the big thing with this gaming monitor is its QD-OLED panel. These types of panels are essentially a brighter version of OLED, which means these types of monitors are typically better for well-lit rooms, more vibrant color, and arguably just better overall. This also means that the price tag can be quite hefty, so when you see a deal on one it’s worth taking note.
This is an ultra-wide monitor, with a 21:9 aspect ratio, and that’s great for anyone who’s playing any games that are compatible with this. The good news is that it’s becoming even more common for AAA titles to have ultrawide compatibility, so if you’re going for a truly immersive experience and have a decent gaming PC to match, this is great option to consider.
AMD Freesync premium also features here, which is the highest level of adaptive sync technology you can get. It’s commonplace in high-end monitors, and works to reduce screen tearing and stuttering when gaming – typically at higher frames-per-second. It’s essential if you plan on using this game for anything fast-paced, like first-person-shooters or racing games.
SAMSUNG Odyssey Neo Monitor – Was $1,299.99, Now $749.99
SAMSUNG Odyssey Neo LS32BG852NNXGO Monitor
This is probably the best choice for most people on the list for a number of reasons. It’s a 4K, 240hz display, so you’re covered with practically every type of resolution/ fps combo you can think of. Versatility is the main word that comes to mind with this, and thanks to it being HDMI 2.1 compatible (commonplace nowadays albeit) you can pair this with a PS5 or Xbox Series X to accommodate as close to 4K, 120fps gaming as possible.
This monitor has a peak nit brightness of 2000. To put that in perspective, most gaming monitors hit around 300 – 400 nit brightness, and that’s more than enough for most people. Don’t be fooled though, oftentimes peak brightness is measured in a small section of a display, rather than all over. That being said, this is clearly a very bright display, which makes it brilliant for color and using in well lit rooms.
The 1000R curvature is more a person preference than anything. Personally, I think they’re good for gaming and even a bit of lighter work, but watching movies on them is a little weird, as is anything design-based as it can distort perspective. I’d recommend this monitor to anyone looking for a ‘do-it-all’ gaming option to pair with their gaming PC or high-end console.
Samsung Odyssey L49″ Gaming Monitor – Was $1,599.99, Now $949.99
Samsung Odyssey LS49CG932SNXZA 49″ Gaming Monitor
The big selling point of this monitor is the sheer size of it. I mean this is a massive display that isn’t exactly going to blend into the background. It’s what I’d call a statement piece, making it an excellent option for anyone looking to create the ultimate gaming setup at home.
Speaking of design, you’ll find some RGB on the back of the monitor, which can save you having to buy any extra lighting for your setup. It’s also a lot thinner than the Samsung ultrawides of old, and weighs in at 27.8lbs – which is not bad considering the size and shouldn’t cause too much anxiety if you wanted to attach it to a monitor arm. We’d recommend going for a heavy duty option just in case – Ergotron do some great ones, but they’re a little costly mind you.
This is an OLED monitor, which means you’re getting some of the best contrast available. That’s good for anyone who wants their content to look more realistic and lifelike, and really comes into its own when using it in darker environments. Again, this is a premium option, and finding one for less than $1000 at this size is actually fairly rare.
