Sleek & stylish Acer Nitro RTX 5070 gaming PC spotted with decent discount on Amazon
Table of Contents
Black Friday may be just around the corner, but we’ve already found a cracking deal well worth jumping on ahead of the sales. Right now, this Acer Nitro 60 gaming PC is down 24% on its list price, bringing its price down to $1,439.00. Now, according to camelcamelcamel, an online price tracking tool for Amazon, its highest ever price was $1,559.99, not $1,899.99 as the listing states. We’re not quite sure why this is different, but it’s worth noting. Regardless, for an RTX 5070 PC with 32GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD, this new price is very competitive, and we think it’s great value if you’re looking for something for 1440p gaming at ultra settings.

Standout features and specs
RTX 5070 graphics card
The RTX 5070 is one of the best graphics cards you can get for 1440p if you’re sticking to a budget. It features a decent 12GB of GDDR7 VRAM, which is a higher bandwidth and faster than last-gen’s GDDR6, 6144 CUDA cores, a 192-bit bus, and a pretty high base clock speed of 2325MHz, which can be boosted to 2512MHz. It’s built on Nvidia’s new Blackwell architecture, which makes it a preferred choice for AI-accelerated tasks and machine learning. It also features DLSS 4 and MFG, which can dramatically improve framerates and keep everything running smoothly, too. We reviewed an RTX 5070 here in our testing labs, and were impressed with its 1440p and relatively good 4K performance. We’d say it’s a much more suitable card for 1440p, as it was able to hit 108fps at ultra settings with Cyberpunk 2077, and a decent 45fps with ray tracing enabled. The 12GB of VRAM is a limiter, but for the price, it’s a great graphics card to have at your disposal.
AMD Ryzen 7 7700 Octa-Core Processor
This CPU is a good mid-range option that features 8 cores, 16 threads, a boost clock of 5.3GHz, and a large 32MB L3 cache. For the RTX 5070, it makes for a good pairing, especially when it comes to gaming, as it boasts impressive single-core performance. It’s also quite capable of handling moderate-level content creation and multitasking thanks to its decent core and thread count, and has excellent power efficiency with a low TDP of 65W.
32GB of RAM and 2TB SSD
You’ve got 32GB of DDR5 RAM here, which is a good amount for multitasking, gaming, and running RAM-intensive applications such as Adobe Premiere Pro without slowdowns. 2TB of storage is also ideal for hybrid usage, allowing to store both 4K footage and large games without any immediate need for an upgrade.
Design and cooling
This PC opts for an understated, but visually striking design, with vibrant aRGB LEDs, sleek and practical air vents, and aerodynamic contours. It’s also a smaller 30L case, which allows it to sit on your desk without taking up too much room. On top of that, it features an effective and stylish aRGB CPU cooler, with high air flow blades and U-shaped copper heat pipes for maximum heat dissipation.

Considerations before buying
RTX 5070 gaming PCs are great if you’re sticking to primarily 1440p, but, as mentioned, the 12GB of VRAM can be a limiting factor when it comes to ray tracing performance and higher resolutions, even though the card was originally marketed as having RTX 4090 performance. At this price point, this gaming PC offers a lot of bang for your buck, but if you’re after something superior for 1440p and 4K, we’d recommend considering an RTX 5070 Ti PC, which can typically be found closer to the $2000 mark. These have 16GB of GDDR7, which makes all the difference. You may also want to consider an RX 9070 XT build, which also has more VRAM, but it’s GDDR6. These are great value for money, and a worthy alternative to the RTX 5070.
