Some people are getting bonus time on their GeForce Now subscription following fifth anniversary celebrations

GeForce Now is Nvidia’s cloud gaming service which allows users to stream and play games without needing a high-end PC or console. Instead of running the game on your local hardware, GeForce Now will process them through Nvidia’s powerful servers and stream the gameplay directly to your device. And if you’re currently an active member of the service, you might need to check your subscription details, as some users have reportedly received some free bonus time.
GeForce Now users getting bonus time from Nvidia
According to a Nvidia GeForce Now user on Reddit, players have received almost two months for free. Another user commented below the post that their subscription was supposed to end on February 28th, but the date has now changed to April 4, meaning they got over a month for free.

Plenty of other users have confirmed the same in the thread, but one thing we’ve noticed is that the bonus time is different for everyone. For instance, one user who has a 6-month plan got one month free, while another user received a month and a half.

Nvidia has not shared any reason why they are giving bonus time to GeForce Now subscribers (or whether this is intentional at all), but it seems to us that it is most likely part of the fifth-anniversary celebrations. The subscription service turned five this February, and to celebrate the occasion, GeForce Now will add a major game release to the cloud every week this month. Nvidia has not mentioned the bonus free time in their official GeForce Now 5th anniversary blog.
In any case, if you haven’t already, check your subscription details now to see if you’ve received any bonus time. If the end date is still the same, check back in a few days.
