Steam users are always looking forward to sales events, or at least they should be. While we do see occasional themed sales events, the biggest ones of the calendar year are the seasonal sales, such as the upcoming Summer Sale. This one will go live later today (June 26th) and offer massive discounts on hundreds of games.

Now that the day of the event is finally here, we can count down the hours until it officially goes live. If you’re interested in picking up some games for cheap, we can also talk you through what to expect this year from the Summer Sale.

Steam Summer Sale 2025 start time

While Steam hasn’t released a trailer for the sale yet to confirm the date and time, a previous official post confirmed that it will go live on June 26. As for the start time, seasonal sales always begin at 10 AM PST. Based on that, here are the Steam Summer Sale 2025 start times for different regions:

  • US Pacific (PDT): 10 AM
  • US Eastern (EDT): 1 PM
  • UK (BST): 6 PM
  • Central Europe (CEST): 7 PM
  • India (IST): 10:30 PM
  • Sydney, Australia (AEST): 3 AM, June 27
  • Auckland, New Zealand (NZST): 5 AM, June 27

According to Valve, the Steam Summer Sale will stay live for two weeks and conclude on July 10. The end time will be at the same time of day as the start time. Also, if the countdown clock above isn’t showing, that means the sale has already started, so head straight on over to the Steam Store and check out the latest deals.

What to expect from the sale?

As mentioned earlier, the Steam Summer Sale is one of the biggest sales events of the year for PC gamers. It offers discounts on hundreds of games, and this year, we expect the same. The biggest discounts, however, will be on older titles, with up to 95% off. This provides a great opportunity for those looking to expand their game library without breaking the bank.

We can also expect to see decent discounts on titles released a few months ago, such as Monster Hunter Wilds, Civilization VII, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and The Last of Us Part II Remastered. While the discounts on these might not be massive, we can still hope to see somewhere between 10% to 20% off. Dune: Awakening was also released recently and became extremely popular, so we’re eager to see if it will receive a discount this soon.

In any case, once the Steam Summer Sale 2025 goes live, we’ll make sure to update you with the best deals. We’ve also put together a list of all upcoming Steam sales if you’re biding your time even longer.
