Buying a gaming laptop in the Cyber Monday sales means finding the right specs at a brilliant price. That’s usually what it takes to commit to perhaps one of the biggest purchases of the year. So, how does an RTX 5070 laptop at $400 off list price sound? We think it sounds pretty good, as Asus’ 2025 ROG Strix G16 offers both of those in an Amazon deal.
The AMD Ryzen 9 9955H and RTX 5070-powered system is built for blistering 1440p performance, and comes in at $1,700. That’s a $400 drop on the $2,100 list price, and the laptop was priced at $2,200 just last month. The steep drop represents a real surge in value for this gaming machine, then, and there’s a lot to like.

What to consider before you buy
This is a strong gaming laptop and a strong deal, too. The one thing to consider is whether you need the power and performance available here, or whether it’s beyond or beneath your preferred capabilities.
