What we like about this Thermaltake LCGS View RTX 5080 gaming PC
Top-tier Intel CPU
This build features the excellent Intel Core i9-14900F, which is a powerhouse 14th-gen processor. It features a massive core and thread count (24 + 32), a very high boost clock speed of 6GHz, and a large 36MB L3 cache. It’s an excellent CPU to pair with the RTX 5080, especially if you’re going for great gaming performance and also want something very adept at handling heavy multitasking and other CPU-intensive workloads.
Excellent graphics card for 1440p and 4K
The RTX 5080 is one of the best graphics cards you can buy right now, especially if you’re looking for something for very high fps 1440p gaming at ultra settings, and excellent performance at 4K. Built on Nvidia’s new Blackwell architecture, it features new and improved GDDR7 VRAM, and a substantial 16GB of it, too. Alongside this, you’re also getting access to new DLSS 4 technology with MFG, which can dramatically increase framerates and keep everything smooth, beyond what the card is capable of in terms of raw power. We tested an RTX 5080 here in our labs, and some notable benchmarks included its 4K ray tracing performance with Cyberpunk 2077, coming in at 35fps pure rasterization, and how it was able to practically double fps from 91 to 181 with Shadow of the Tomb Raider in 4K with ray tracing, when DLSS was enabled.
Good amount of RAM and storage
You’ve got 32GB of DDR5 RAM in this build, which is good for gaming, running RAM-intensive creative applications, and improving overall system responsiveness and performance. There’s also a decent-sized 1TB SSD that should be able to store a handful of large AAA games, and still leave you some space for other files.
Stunning design
Thermaltake often delivers when it comes to unique and eye-catching designs, with some PC cases really standing out from the crowd. We’re big fans of the wrap-around glass panels with this PC case, which allow for an unobstructed view into the inner workings and the colorful aRGB components.

Considerations before buying
For the price, this gaming PC strikes a good balance between high-quality components, design, and performance, and we think it’s well-suited to anyone looking for a great rig for 4K gaming or demanding creative work. The only consideration we’d have is whether the processor is going to be right for you. Typically speaking, something like a Ryzen 7 9800X3D would be better suited for an all-out gaming build, thanks to its massive L3 cache designed to reduce frame latency. This 14th-Gen processor is going to be more adept at running multiple applications at once and heavy-duty multitasking, due to its larger core and thread count, though. Either is fine, but one may be more appropriate depending on your intended usage.
