Valve’s Steam Deck is a handheld gaming device that transformed the market for PC gamers. It has a built-in screen, buttons, and everything you need to play games. But not everyone likes using the built-in controls for all games. Some people prefer a keyboard and mouse for better accuracy and comfort. If you are one of them, and you happen to own a 3D printer, then we have found the perfect case for you.

Cyberdeck case for the Steam Deck

A creator named LWC on Printable has designed a 3D-printable carrying case called Cyberdeck. This isn't just any normal carrying case. Most handheld cases are small and only slightly bigger than the Steam Deck itself. But the Cyberdeck is big, almost like a mini briefcase, and this is all because the case allows you to use a 12-inch external monitor with your Steam Deck, making the keyboard and mouse setup feel much better.

The Cyberdeck case has two compartments. One side holds the Steam Deck, its charger, and cables, while the other side has space for a 12-inch external monitor. When you open the case, it looks like a small laptop, with the monitor in front of you and your Steam Deck below. This setup makes it easier to use a keyboard and mouse, giving you a desktop-like experience wherever you go.

The case has a rugged design with TPU bumpers for extra protection, ensuring that your handheld stays safe during travel. It is also lockable, with dedicated spots for padlocks, giving you extra security. For storage, it includes a microSD card holder, allowing you to keep your extra storage cards organized and protected. You won’t also have to worry about tangled cables, as the case stores the chargers and cables in an orderly manner. There are also dust covers for the USB-C, micro USB, and HDMI ports, and it offers an optimized airflow design to prevent overheating.

One of its standout features is the ‘no shaking or rattling’ design, which means that when the case is closed, everything inside stays solidly in place. For those interested, LWC has shared all the instructions for 3D printing this case on Printable. You can print the parts yourself and build the entire setup. LWC has also explained how to arrange everything properly so that the case works as intended.

While we’re on the topic of the Steam Deck, be sure to check out the best games under $10 and best games under $5 that are compatible with the handheld in the ongoing Steam Spring Sale, which lasts until March 20th.
