The Steam Deck is currently one of the most popular handhelds on the market. As a handheld, it has everything you need in a single device to play games, such as a touchscreen design, embedded controls, and more. However, some people still prefer using third-party accessories to further improve the handheld experience. If you’re one of them and happen to own a 3D printer, you should check out this 3D-printable phone mount for the Steam Deck.

Deckmount for the Steam Deck

This phone mount was created by Spinny09 on Printables. It’s called “Deckmount,” and it’s designed to give you a second display above your Steam Deck. The creator said they made it because they wanted a second screen to watch videos or stream content while gaming. The best part is that Deckmount has a simple, clean design, so it adds a second screen without cluttering your setup. On top of that, it holds the phone securely in place, so you don’t have to worry about it slipping away.

Printing Deckmount is pretty easy, too. Most of the parts are designed to print flat, so they don't need any special supports. You'll only need supports for a few parts, such as the Bolt, the Killswitch Body, and the MagSafe mount. Everything else prints without any hassle. However, keep in mind that you'll need to buy one extra part – a MagSafe magnet. If you have an iPhone, it will work right away. But if you have an Android phone, you'll need the MagSafe magnet to make it compatible.

Along with helping you mount your phone above the handheld, Deckmount also works as a well-balanced stand. This is great for those who want to use a keyboard and mouse or a controller with their Steam Deck while keeping it on a table. However, for this setup, we also recommend checking out this 3D-printable case for the Steam Deck that includes space for a keyboard.

In any case, if you own a 3D printer and are interested in getting the Deckmount for your Steam Deck, then you can download the files for free from Printables.
