A dedicated modder has brought the popular Skyrim-style leveling system from the S7 Skill System mod to Fallout London. This patch offers players a more immersive and customizable gameplay experience by introducing skill trees, perk progression, and a variety of other enhancements.

In case you haven’t heard of Fallout London, it’s a fan-made overhaul mod for Fallout 4 and you can find out how to install it here. It received a ton of praise upon launch more than a month ago, and since then, we’ve seen a few additional mods that will help spice up the gameplay. For example, the dice roll mod if you fancy some RNG.

S7 Skill System

The S7 Skill System Patch overhauls Fallout London’s perk system, replacing the original perk trees with those from S7. While most perks remain identical, the mod introduces unique additions and retains a few original Fallout London perks with their original level requirements. Additionally, players can now select “Black Window,” “Lady Killer,” “Cherchez La Femme,” or “Confirmed Bachelor” speech perks from S7 to gain access to the corresponding unique Fallout London perks, hidden from the perk list but enabling exclusive dialogue options.

Character creation in Fallout London remains largely unchanged, except for the removal of the trait menu. Instead, shortly after the balcony scene, S7’s initialization script begins, allowing players to configure their starting tags, traits, and choose an alternative XP system. The default settings provide four tag skills and three traits.

Other additions

The mod also introduces new MCM settings presets that offer more balanced skill gain values, allowing players to choose between the “True Skyrim preset” or the “Default XP System preset.” Furthermore, RobCo Patcher adds scripts that assign blunt and bladed keywords to Fallout London’s weapons and grant Science XP when using energy weapons.

To streamline the perk menu, the mod hides perks associated with S7’s Traits, displaying only the Trait entry. Additionally, the mod includes Fallout London Explosions, Mines, Grenades, and Heavy Weapons in S7’s FormID Lists, ensuring proper XP gain for using these items.

While the mod is still under development, it offers a significant enhancement to Fallout London’s gameplay. By introducing a more traditional leveling system, the mod provides players with greater control over their character’s progression and rewards their skill development.
