EDITOR’S NOTE
At the time of writing on 8th October 2024 this Newegg listing was for a VTG gaming PC with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and RX 7700XT GPU. Newegg have now changed the listing to a VTG Gaming PC with a Ryzen7 5700X with an NVIDIA RTX4070. That means that unfortunately, the link will redirect to this gaming PC, instead of the product we originally wrote about.
Prime Big Deal Days is here, but in all honesty, I’m slightly underwhelmed by the offers on gaming PCs. From my research, I’m seeing discounts hover around the $300 – $400 mark, which isn’t bad, but nothing I’d jump out of my seat for.
The good news is that Newegg has successfully shaken me to the core, with its absolutely massive deal on a pretty impressive gaming PC. Currently it’s down from $2,699 to $1459 – a huge saving of $1,240.
What’s more, but this gaming PC packs the seemingly illusive Ryzen 7 7800X3D, which has been quite difficult to get a hold of recently, alongside the RX 7700 XT – a great card for 1440p gaming at 60fps.
Here’s a break down of the gaming PC’s components, so you can weigh up if its the right one for you.

GPU and CPU
First off, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D is widely regarded as one of the best CPUs for gaming, and earned an impressive 4.5 stars in our in-depth review. We noted that it would ‘smash through any gaming workload you throw at it’, while also being ‘able to handle productivity tasks much better than before’ – making this a versatile component to have in your gaming PC.
In terms of the GPU, the RX 7700 XT, which we also reviewed stands up well for 1440p gaming at 60hz, but wouldn’t be the best option for anyone looking for anything more than that. It’s a decent card, and one that most people will be able to enjoy, but for those looking for 4K gaming or playing at higher frames per second, you may want to look elsewhere.
RAM and SSD
You’re getting 32GB of DDR5 RAM here, which is good for anything from rendering to gaming. DDR5 is a vast improvement on DDR4, so it’s always worth going for gaming PCs with this version. A 1TB NVMe SSD is also pretty standard in most gaming PCs, and should ensure faster boot times, file transfers, and better overall performance.
Design and cooling
This gaming PC features 7 ARGB fans, which allows you have more flexibility in configuring your lighting. The window that curves around the side to the front is also a great touch, that gives you a full view of the inner-workings of the PC, and allows for the light to travel outwards and illuminate your desk and surroundings. This is the type of gaming PC that will certainly make a statement in your chosen setup.
