This Skyrim mod is adding a whole new island to the game, set northwest of Morrowind
Even after more than a decade, Skyrim still gets new content thanks to its huge modding community. The latest addition is Bleakrock Isle, a brand-new mod created by WMDBloodHunter on Nexus Mods. This mod doesn’t just add a new weapon or a small quest, as it gives players an entire new island to explore.
Bleakrock Isle is set northwest of Morrowind, just below Solstheim – it’s actually playable in Elder Scrolls Online. According to the lore, it was once a small, quiet island that only had a few guards from the Ebonheart Pact. Over the years, it became abandoned after an attack during the Three Banners War. Now, families have returned to rebuild, and the island is slowly coming back to life. But the peace doesn’t last long, as rumors of a powerful relic hidden somewhere on the island have drawn adventurers and mages looking for it.

The mod comes in two versions. The first is a lighter version for players who just want a new player home and a small village without adding too much to their game. The second, larger version aims to cover the entire island, complete with quests inspired by Morrowind’s style, new unique items, additional player homes, and even armor sets from The Elder Scrolls Online, like the Nord armor. While this bigger version is still in progress, a demo version already lets players get a feel for the island.
Right now, the mod includes two player homes and one village for players to explore. It’s a simple but exciting start for what could become one of the more detailed Skyrim mods out there. To begin your adventure, you’ll need to head to the inn in Riverwood. Inside the left room, you’ll find a ticket. After picking it up, go to the docks in Solitude and board the ship to Bleakrock Isle. From there, the new island will be yours to discover.
