The RTX 5070 is a mid-range option in the latest RTX 50-series lineup, offering specifications that make it a solid card for 1440p gaming. It comes packed with 12GB of VRAM and has access to the latest RTX and DLSS technologies. And if you were planning to get it for your rig, you’ll be glad to know that Best Buy is currently offering two models at MSRP.

Nvidia’s 50-series has faced low stock and high pricing issues ever since launch, including the RTX 5070. However, things are finally starting to stabilize, as we’ve seen the RTX 5090 and even the RTX 5080 drop to MSRP at various retailers.

At Best Buy, the RTX 5070 Founders Edition is currently listed for $549, which is the official MSRP. This is the base model and features the standard FE design. For those who prefer a third-party version with extra features, you can opt for the PNY RTX 5070, which is also listed at $549 with a triple-fan design. Third-party cards often cost more than MSRP due to added features, so it’s great to see the PNY version available at the base price.

As far as the performance is concerned, we reviewed the RTX 5070 and found it to be a great card for 1440p gaming. In fact, it was even able to run some games smoothly at 4K. With the graphics maxed out and no upscaling used, we were able to get around 108 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 at 1440p, and 48 FPS at 4K.

In a less demanding game, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the card was able to deliver 124 and 78 FPS at 1440p and 4K, respectively. The RTX 5070 can also utilize DLSS 4‘s Multi Frame Generation, which gives a massive FPS boost in games beyond these native results, up to four times.
