Vampire Survivors becomes the most played game on Steam Deck following new DLC release (and it’s cheap)

Table of Contents
Indie game studio poncle recently released a new DLC for Vampire Survivors called Ode to Castlevania, and it seems like it has helped the game reach a new level of popularity. The new DLC has added a plethora of content to the game, which has boosted its rank in the Steam Deck Top Played charts.
Unsurprisingly, the game is also Steam Deck Verified, making it perfect to pick up and play without an issue. On top of that, the base game only asks for 600 MB of available space.

Vampire Survivors takes the first spot in Steam Deck Top Played charts
At the moment, Vampire Survivors is the most-played game on the Steam Deck, sitting above titles like Brotato, Stardew Valley, and even Baldur’s Gate 3. The game climbed seven positions and is now comfortably sitting on the first spot in the Steam Deck Top Played charts, all thanks to the new update.
For those who don’t know, the DLC adds 20+ new characters, 40+ new weapons, 30+ new tracks, and special weapon options. On top of that, it has also added a brand new map, which is the largest map Vampire Survivors has ever seen.
The success of Ode to Castlevania shows just how much a well-made DLC can impact a game's popularity. When a game receives a big content update like this, it can bring back players who may not have played in a while and attract new players who are curious to try it out. Ode to Castlevania has managed to do both, proving that DLCs can keep games fresh and interesting.
Both Vampire Survivors and its new DLCs are currently available at discounted prices on Steam. You can get the main game at a 25% discount, and Ode to Castlevania is also 10% off. If you haven't tried the game before, this is a great time to jump in, especially with all the new content available.
