Key features of this MSI Gaming RTX 5060 graphics card

SFF ready with advanced cooling

This graphics card is great for more compact PC builds, thanks to its smaller form factor, but it still delivers on cooling performance. As usual, it’s a mix of hardware and technology that keeps this graphics card working at its best, even under heavy and sustained loads. You’ve got a TORX Fan 5.0 design, where the fans themselves are tilted at 22-degrees allowing for increased airflow compared to your standard axial fan setup. On top of thaht there’s a large heatsink, heat pipes, and nickel-plated copper baseplate, which captures heat and effectively whisks it away. As with many of the MSI graphics cards, they also have its Zero Frozr Tecnology, which means that the fans can completely stop when they’re not needed. This is a great for keeping noise levels down for everyday or light usage.

Latest architecture

This card is built on Nvidia’s new Blackwell architecture, which has a few key benfits over the previous generation. You’ve got 4th Gen ray tracing cores, which allow for much faster and improved ray tracing performance, 5th Gen Tensor cores which make it ideal for AI-accelrated tasks and machine learning, and new and improved GDDR7 VRAM which has much higher bandwidth and is faster than the previous GDDR6 offerings. On top of that, it also features DLSS 4 and MFG, which can be used to push performance further beyond what the card is capable of in terms of raw power. That’s a big win for more affordable graphics cards like these, as they allow to squeeze out extra frames with even demanding AAA-games.

Gaming performance

This card is factory overclocked to 2535 MHz, which means you’re getting a bit more power than your regular RTX 5060 graphics card. MSI Afterburner is included with this card, which allows for more fine detailed overclocking and real-time monitor, and the card itself has additional fuses for an added layer of protection, too.

In terms of what to expect in terms of gaming performance, generally speaking you’ll be looking at over 100fps at 1080p easily with most games, and double digits at 1440p. Ray tracing and higher resolutions may be a little challenging, as this card only has 8GB of VRAM, but with the right settings and the use of DLSS, you may be able to get some decent performance. Primarily, though, this is a great card for 1080p gaming, especially higher framerate, competitve gameplay.
