What is better than a gaming PC? Two gaming PCs! But building just one can take a lot of time and effort, especially if you're starting out. That said, if you missed the opportunity to get a pre-built PC on Amazon Prime Day, all hope isn't lost.

We found two gaming PCs on sale at Best Buy with varying specifications and prices. The first is the 13900KF / RTX 4070 iBUYPOWER gaming PC, whose price dropped from $1,999 to $1,499 in this deal. And if you're looking for an option that is even lighter on the pocket, the second Lenovo gaming PC has its price cut from $1,149.99 to $849.99. So, you can save $500 in the first deal or $300 in the second.

Which pre-built gaming PC should you get?

The two gaming PCs have varying hardware inside, meaning you'll get different in-game performance with both. The iBUYPOWER gaming PC is more high-end, while the Lenovo gaming PC is more of a budget option. That said, regardless of the PC you opt for, we'll look at each of their individual components, so you know which one would best suit your needs.

iBUYPOWER Y60 (i9-13900KF / RTX 4070)

iBUYPOWER – Y60 Gaming Desktop PC – Intel Core i9 13900KF- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 12GB- 32GB DDR5 RGB RAM – 1TB NVMe – Black

CPU: Intel Core i9-13900KF

The Intel Core i9-13900KF is a variant of the 13900K, which we've reviewed in-house. It has excellent synthetic and real-world performance. The only difference between the two is that the 13900KF doesn't have an integrated GPU, but if you're getting a discrete GPU, you don't strictly need an iGPU.

So, to showcase the performance of the 13900KF, we'll be looking at the results of the 13900K we got during testing for its review. We ran Cyberpunk 2077 and Days Gone at 1080p low resolution to put the most strain on the CPU, paired with an RTX 4070 Ti Super, and it managed to churn out 342 and 261 FPS, respectively.

Considering this, the 13900KF should have the same or similar performance so you can easily run any game or software you want without worrying about CPU bottleneck or other issues.

GPU: RTX 4070

The Y60 gaming PC features an RTX 4070, and like other components, we have also tested it in-house for our RTX 4070 review. While it might be overshadowed by the newer 4070 Super, during our testing, it was able to hit decent framerates in demanding titles like Cyberpunk 2077.

It delivered 108, 74, and 27 FPS at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K, respectively. That said, our tests are done natively, so this is the result without using frame generation or AI upscaling. This means that you can get even more FPS by using Nvidia DLSS, especially if you want to play games at 4K.

RAM: 32GB DDR5 5,200 MHz

You get 32GB of DDR5 RAM running at 5,200 MHz, which personally seems like a good spot for gaming and other work. 5,200 MHz might not seem like a lot if you compare it against 7,200 or 8,000 MHz, but even DDR4 RAM is able to handle modern AAA games and other tasks without running into system memory issues.

So, this amount of RAM should be more than enough. However, since this PC features a Z790 board, there should be expansion slots that you can use to increase the system memory and give it a boost in performance and efficiency.

CPU cooler: 240mm liquid cooler

A 240mm liquid cooler is installed to ensure the powerful 13900KF and its 24 cores remain cool, which is great because the 13900K and its variants are known for running hot. It has a base power of 125W, but its maximum turbo power is around 253W, and it can be overclocked, meaning its TDP could potentially be even higher, depending on the workload.

Peripherals

This gaming PC comes bundled with a gaming keyboard and mouse, which gives this deal more value as you won't have to spend more on peripherals. That said, the keyboard is RGB but has a membrane foundation, meaning the keyboard might sometimes feel mushy. The mouse is also RGB, and these peripherals are basic but should get the job done.

Lenovo – Legion Tower 5i (i5-14400F / RTX 4060)

Lenovo – Legion Tower 5i Gaming Desktop – Intel Core i5 14400F – 16GB Memory – NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 – 1TB SSD – Storm Grey

CPU: Intel Core i5-14400F

The Legion Tower 5i gaming PC features 10 cores and 16 threads. However, not all of the cores are hyperthreaded because the 10 cores are divided among 6 performance cores (P-cores) and 4 efficient (E-cores) cores.

This works by having P-cores handle resource-intensive tasks and E-cores handle background processes and minor tasks. This dynamic allows this processor to remain efficient when there aren't heavy workloads but also deliver high performance when needed.

This processor also doesn't have an integrated GPU, and since it is a “non-K” CPU, it can't be overclocked. However, it has a base clock speed of 1.8 GHz and a turbo frequency of 4.7 GHz, meaning it should be able to handle gaming tasks without any issues, which is great since the accompanying GPU is best for 1080p or 1440p gaming.

GPU: RTX 4060

The GPU powering the Legion Tower 5i is the RTX 4060, which we've also reviewed. This is a more entry-level GPU, meaning pushing 4K is too much for it, but playing games at 1080p and 1440p is the perfect spot for it.

In our review, we ran various games to test its gaming potential, and in titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Assassin's Creed Valhalla, it had good FHD and 2K performance. In Cyberpunk 2077, it managed 77 and 48 FPS, respectively, while in the other title, it churned out 106 and 74 FPS, respectively.

These games were running at max settings without DLSS, so you can leverage that to boost the framerates even more.

RAM: 16GB DDR5 5,600 MHz

The installed RAM in this gaming PC is 16GB DDR5, running at 5,600 MHz. For some, this might not be enough system memory, but considering the overall build, it is a budget gaming PC, and for running games at lower resolutions, 16GB is more than enough. Depending on whether the motherboard has spare RAM slots or not, you can increase it to 32GB or even more.

WiFi standard: 6E

This gaming PC comes with WiFi 6E connectivity, meaning that if you have a WiFi 6E router, you can connect this PC with the 6GHz frequency and game, work, or stream with a low-latency wireless connection. If you're interested in exploring some options, we recommend you check out our best WiFi 6E router guide for the top picks.

Besides all of these aspects, if you get the Legion Tower 5i, you get three months of Xbox Game Pass, which has a massive gaming catalog that you can check out.
