If printer errors and issues weren’t continuing to plague Windows 10, they’ve followed users to Windows 11.

Brother, known for their high-end office printers, has put out a particularly extensive list of issues that seem to be affecting Windows 11 connected printers. This includes:

• Detecting your Brother machine when it is connected to your computer using a USB cable.
• Changing your Brother machine’s settings.
• Connecting more than one Brother machine via USB.

There’s no real fix either, as Brother’s advice is to currently just cycle between the different methods of connecting until something works. If you’re in desperate need of a printer and don’t care about Windows 11, we do have a roll-back guide for you.

The issues highlighted by Brother’s help page are:

• Paper Size Setup Tool
• Distributed Print Tool
• Special ID Setting Tool
• Wireless Setup Wizard
• P-Touch Editor 5.4
• Update Software
• Transfer Manager
• Transfer Express
• Template Settings
• Printer Setting Tool

There’s not even a timeline of when this will be fixed, but you can assume that Brother’s engineers are hard at work on getting everything work again pretty quickly. In the meantime, if you’re in possession of one with wireless communication, you can probably get away with that for now.
