Back in June this year, Xbox officially revealed the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X, both offering upgrades over the original models. While no exact release date has been (officially) given, Xbox confirmed it will launch during the Holiday 2025 season. And as the release is getting closer, one popular retailer is offering a big discount on one of the original versions.

The ASUS ROG Ally is one of the best gaming handhelds out there. It offers a stunning 7″ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a powerful processor, plenty of storage, and much more. It provides a great gaming experience on the go, and if you were planning to get one for yourself, you’ll be happy to learn that Best Buy currently has a 23% discount on it.

AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme Processor – 512GB – Windows

If you head over to Best Buy, you’ll find the ROG Ally with Z1 Extreme processor listed for only $499.99, which is a solid price considering the same model was previously available for $649.99. This model offers 512GB of storage paired with 16GB of LPDDR5 memory, which will be more than enough for most users. However, do keep in mind that the discount is only on the standard model, as the ROG Ally X is still listed at its original price.

Plus, recent benchmark tests revealed that while the new Z2 Extreme processor, which will power the flagship ROG Xbox Ally X, offers better performance than the Z1 Extreme chip, it’s far from the generational leap many expected. On top of that, the non-X model will use the AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor, a cut-down version which we’re yet to learn the performance of.

While it might seem like a good idea to wait for the ROG Xbox Ally to launch and get that instead, it’s important to keep in mind that the upcoming handheld might end up being one of the most expensive handhelds yet. While Xbox hasn’t confirmed its price, a price leak last month from an official partner suggested the Xbox Ally could cost $699, while the Ally X could retail at $1,050.

Deals season is here folks, and with it comes a plethora of eye-catching price cuts on some of the industry's most popular tech. Below are some of the best deals you can find right now.
