Those massive graphics cards with three fans might do a great job at keeping the GPU cool, but they do have a disadvantage for those who use smaller PC cases. For those users, Zotac has unveiled the RTX 5060 Solo, a single-fan card small enough to fit into smaller cases.

Those who have bought or built a PC using a micro-ATX or mini-ITX case will know that space is at a premium. Modern graphics cards tend to be on the big and beefy side, and simply do not physically fit into some of these cases. The Zotac RTX 5060 Solo is designed to combat this problem by providing a compact card.

The Solo follows on from Zotac's other product lines, such as the Twin Edge, AMP, Vespera, and XGaming. As reported by VideoCardz, the Solo doesn't have an OC version and is only listed on the Global pages of Zotac's website. This indicates that it will only be made available in certain regions.

The website says the Solo is the ‘Smallest Zotac Gaming 50-series GPU' and announces that it is SFF-ready. SFF is ‘Small Form Factor', and SFF-ready is an initiative by Nvidia to ensure that there are compact versions of graphics cards available for smaller PC cases.

The RTX 5060 Solo uses the Nvidia reference specifications, which use a GB206 GPU with 3840 CUDA cores and 8GB of GDDR7 VRAM across a 128-bit memory bus. The default TDP is 145W. The card uses a standard PCIe connector instead of the newer 16-pin version, and has one 8-pin power connector on the card.

The Zotac RTX 5060 Solo is set to launch sometime in May, though a price has not yet been specified. Nor is it known which regions will be able to buy this card. There is no indication of an RTX 5060 Ti version of the Solo either.
