Stalker 2 is finally available across all platforms, including PC. However, despite being one of the biggest games of the year, its players are reporting various issues, including the “out of memory” error. This error appears immediately after the game crashes and can occur either at launch or after a few minutes of gameplay. The worst part is that it can even happen to those who have one of the best GPUs for Stalker 2 in their rigs, as a player with an RTX 4090 faced the same issue.

Update your BIOS

A player on the Steam Community forum claimed that they were get the out of memory error in Stalker 2, but they were able to fix it by updating their BIOS version. If you’re new to PCs, updating BIOS can be a confusing process. However, you can refer to this video, which explains the entire process step-by-step.

After you’ve successfully updated your BIOS, try playing Stalker 2 again to see if the problem is gone.

Update your GPU drivers

As the out of video error is linked to the GPU, it might be appearing due to outdated graphics drivers.
