Instagram has a new feature – Instagram notes. This lets you post short messages to your Close Friends, or those followers which you follow back. If you are a little confused on how to navigate this, read on!
These special messages, like stories, only last 24 hours. However, you can only post one at a time. If you post another, it will delete the old one. So it’s a bit like a live status. You can only post up to 60 characters, so it’s got to be pretty short, too. It’s pretty similar to the MSN Messenger days of old, when you could let your friends know what you were up to or thinking about that moment, in word form.
Notes will pop up in your inbox, above regular messages. If you want to reply to somebody’s note, all you have to do is tap it. Replies will go through as normal DMs in the other person’s inbox.
