Usually, that sort of saving wouldn’t be a complete showstopper, but this particular monitor is an absolute beast and up there with the best of the best, largely due to its QD-OLED display that delivers incredible contrast, but also excellent brightness too. To put into perspective, the most top of the line TVs are now QD-OLED, and it’s seen as a level up from OLED. For truly stunning picture quality when gaming or streaming, this is the kind of monitor you’ll need.

What you need to know about this monitor
- QD-OLED – this hybrid technology works a little differently to standard OLEDs, but generally speaking it results in better brightness and color vibrancy. That’s good if you’re gaming in well-lit rooms, or you simply want to experience an even more vibrant image than with traditional OLED when you’re gaming.
- Different modes for content creators – this monitor has a Creator Mode feature that allows you to choose between sRGB and DCI-p3 color space. Great if you’re a designer.
- 1800R curve – the smaller the number, the more aggressive the curve, so this monitor has a fair subtle curve to it. That’s great if you want something that gives you a bit more immersion, but won’t detract from watching content or design work.
- 165hz with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro – 165hz is great for those who enjoy faster paced games, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro is the highest level of adaptive sync technology AMD has to offer. This will ensure that screen tearing and stuttering are vastly reduced.
- Stunning design – as you can see, this is a beautifully crafted monitor in-keeping with Alienware’s track record of stunning design. With some tasteful RGB and fully adjustable built in stand – this monitor is as functional as it is great-looking.
Is it the best time to buy?
Spring Sales are on the way, which means we may see this monitor drop a little more depending on how it all pans out. After using price tracker camelcamelcamel, it appears that the monitor’s all-time-low was $609.59 on February 1st, 2025. Based on the trends, I’d say it’s likely to do something similar in the next major sales event. Unfortunately, we don’t have the exact date for the Spring Sales just yet, but this would be the event to hold out for if you don’t mind waiting.
