The Amazon Kindle Scribe Colorsoft is much more than a conventional Kindle. Its large 11-inch Colorsoft display is designed for both reading and writing, allowing you to read books, take handwritten notes, mark up documents, and work with notebooks from a single device. Normally, this model costs $679.99 on Amazon. However, thanks to a limited time deal, you can save 24% and take it home for just $519.99.

Key features and highlights of the Amazon Kindle Scribe Colorsoft
For starters, its biggest feature is the 11-inch Colorsoft display. Its larger dimensions provide more room than a conventional Kindle, which is particularly useful when you’re viewing documents or writing notes rather than simply reading a novel. Despite the large screen, the Scribe measures only 5.4mm thick and weighs around 400g, so you can carry it around with you easily.
Color also changes how certain content can be presented. Diagrams, illustrations, highlights, documents, and other visual material can benefit from having more than shades of gray available. At the same time, Amazon has designed the display around a high-contrast, paper-like appearance rather than trying to replicate the glossy screen of an iPad.

For a smooth writing experience, the screen has a textured surface, while the responsive display is intended to make the included pen feel closer to writing on paper. The pen itself doesn’t need to be charged, removing another battery from your daily routine. It also includes a built-in eraser along with a shortcut button that can quickly access tools such as the highlighter.
Aside from that, the built-in notebook gives you a dedicated place to write ideas, notes, lists, and other handwritten content. Amazon has also added AI features that can work with those notes. For instance, you can ask questions about information you’ve written, find details, and generate summaries. The device can also clean up handwriting or convert handwritten content into regular text. You also get 64GB of storage, which should be more than enough for most users.
Is this Kindle worth buying?
The Kindle Scribe Colorsoft is worth considering if you want to combine an e-reader and digital notebook without moving to a conventional tablet. Its 11-inch paper-like color display gives books and documents plenty of room, while the included battery-free pen is a solid addition. However, if you only read novels and rarely take notes, a smaller and cheaper Kindle will probably make more sense.
