ASRock Phantom 360Hz QD-OLED gaming monitor hit with a decent price cut at Newegg
Table of Contents
This ASRock Phantom gaming monitor is currently $146 off at Newegg, and is well worth a look if you’re looking for something high-end, with excellent gaming performance, and capable of delivering stunning visuals in QHD. This monitor comes in at $499.99, and for the cash you’re getting a lot here.
Here’s the quick version. It’s 360Hz, QD-OLED, and QHD, which makes it a great call for higher-powered gaming PCs that are used for both story-driven, slower-paced AAA gaming and competitive play. Where it stands out from the crowd, though, is with features like FreeSync Premium Pro, designed to both improve HDR gaming performance and reduce screen stuttering. There’s also its QD-OLED display that boasts impressive Delta E<2 color accuracy, and 99% DCI-P3 and 138% sRGB color coverage. That doesn’t make it an instant professional monitor for creatives, but it does make it very suitable for those working in video editing. There’s even a USB-C port with 15W PD, which may not be enough for a single-cable laptop-to-monitor setup, but will easily charge a phone, headphones, and other peripherals without excess cable clutter.
ASRock Phantom Gaming 27″ QHD 360Hz OLED Gaming Monitor
Now, how good is it for the price? Well, at $499.99, it’s reasonably competitive, but it’s around the price I’d personally expect to pay for a monitor like this. I think the win here is grabbing something that’s pretty high-end, but closer to standard pricing. That being said, if you’re after something that looks great, will showcase AAA games at their best, and allow for very high framerates, with minimal motion blur and ghosting, this monitor makes a lot of sense at its current price.

Things to consider before buying
As of late, I’m starting to see 360Hz and 240Hz QD-OLED monitors dip quite substantially in price at major retailers. For example, it’s not uncommon to find 240Hz monitors under $400, and 360Hz monitors occasionally hovering around $450. I’d say if you were looking to save some cash, options from AOC and MSI would be worth checking out. And if you want to go the other way, and potentially aim for something with a higher DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, which will likely be WOLED, then LG UltraGear and some ASUS ROG OLEDs are well worth checking out, too.
