What we liked about this gaming laptop
Ryzen 9 9955HX is a powerhouse
This is a flagship mobile processor from the Ryzen 9000 lineup and comes with 16 cores and 32 threads with a base TDP of 55W. For the level of power it can deliver, this is a very low power draw, which means that it shouldn’t drain the battery very quickly. Its 64MB L3 cache helps it deliver great gaming performance, but also boosts efficiency since more data can be stored on the chip for quick access and processing. So, whether it is data compression, encryption, 4K video editing, video rendering, or any other resource-intensive task, this processor is up for the challenge.

RTX 5070 is perfect for the resolution of this gaming laptop
This graphics card excels at 1440p and 1600p gaming since these are “mid-range” resolutions. This gaming laptop has an 18″ display with a 2560 x 1600 resolution (16:10 aspect ratio) and a super-fast 240Hz refresh rate. It should churn out high FPS at this level, resulting in smooth and responsive gameplay, perfect for competitive titles like CS2, R6S, and more. However, you might get 240 FPS in all titles, and this is where the AI upscaling technologies save the day, as they can help push the load and deliver better gaming performance.
Plenty of system memory and storage for solid efficiency
For all-around efficiency, you also need a decent amount of RAM, and this gaming laptop has that covered. 32GB DDR5 RAM is more than enough for gaming, but you’ll feel the importance in non-gaming workflows. This memory is fast and can store and direct the required data at scale with great speed, which helps the processors deliver better efficiency as well. This is further increased by the 2TB SSD, which provides plenty of storage space, but the speed boost it gives the system can’t be ignored.
