The new 32″ IPS monitor will offer dual resolution functionality, meaning users can opt for a 4K @ 160Hz display or FHD @ 360Hz – depending on the type of content or game they’re playing. While this technology isn’t new, it is seldom used in modern gaming monitors, giving the XG32UCG an interesting dynamic.

According to ASUS, the XG32UCG will support variable refresh rate technology in the form of both FreeSycn premium and G-Sync compatibility, not to mention VESA VRR. Inputs will include DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1, alongside a 15W USB Type-C port for Mac users.
A complete lineup, alongside specifications, features, release dates, and pricing will likely be unveiled during CES 2025. For now, let’s take a look at the initial lineup and what each should offer (specs by Videocardz):
- ROG Strix XG32UCG: 31.5″ 4K Fast IPS gaming monitor w/ dual-mode 4K @ 160Hz and FHD @ 320Hz for FPS.
- ASUS ZenScreen Smart MS32UC: 31.5″ UHD IPS; 98% DCI-P3; Google TV, Harman Kardon speakers, wireless display support, multi-platform live streaming.

- ASUS ZenScreen MB169CK: Portable monitor with a 15.6″ FHD IPS panel, detachable 360° stand, tripod socket, and dual USB Type-C ports.
- ASUS ProArt Display 6K PA32QCV: 32″ 6K display with high 216 PPI clarity and 98% DCI-P3 color gamut.

ASUS set to unveil new 6K panel for creatives
Gaming aside, the most attractive unveiling from ASUS’s creative roster will likely be the ProArt 32QCV – a nice 5K panel that boasts an IPS-based panel, supporting 98% DCI-P3 and 100% sRGB color gamuts. According to ASUS, each panel will be Calman verified and factory-calibrated to ensure a standardized DeltaE <2.
The panel looks set to feature 2 x Thunderbolt 4 connectors, a great option for content creators using laptops. Additionally, laptop users will also benefit from the monitor’s 96W power delivery, allowing users to plugin in and charge via a single cable.
Sadly, the monitors will not utilize the more popular ‘joystick’ OSD controls, instead opting for buttons underneath the bottom bezel.
