Table of Contents
It’s rare to get such a good deal on such a brand new, well-received smartphone this soon after launch (on the 20th August to be exact) but this Pixel 11 deal is exactly that. The Google Pixel 11 brings much of Google’s latest AI and camera technology to a more affordable 6.3-inch design. Its Tensor G6 processor, 12GB of RAM, 256GB storage, triple-camera system and seven-year update commitment create a strong package for everyday photography and long-term Android use. The standard model lacks the Pro series’ LTPO panel, larger camera sensors and 120x zoom, but it retains the features most buyers are likely to use regularly. Grab it now for $150 off!
Google Pixel 11 (256 GB) – Obsidian
This factory-unlocked Obsidian configuration works with major US mobile providers when the appropriate network bands and activation requirements are supported. The phone measures approximately 6 by 2.8 by 0.3 inches and weighs around 6.9 ounces. Read below for more information about the various specifications, or see the foot of this page for alternative offers.
What we like about the Google Pixel 11 smartphone
Compact 6.3-inch 120Hz OLED display
The 6.3-inch Actua display has a resolution of 1080 x 2424 and density of approximately 422 pixels per inch. Its 20:9 aspect ratio provides a tall viewing area while keeping the phone more manageable than a 6.8-inch flagship. Google’s Smooth Display technology switches between 60Hz and 120Hz according to the content. Scrolling and animations can therefore appear more fluid than on a conventional 60Hz screen, although this is not the 1–120Hz LTPO system used by the Pixel 11 Pro models.

The OLED panel provides deep blacks, high contrast and individually controlled pixels. Google specifies HDR brightness of up to 2,000 nits and peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits, which should maintain good visibility outdoors under appropriate conditions. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protects both the display and polished rear panel. Its durability is supplemented by a fingerprint-resistant coating, but a case and screen protector remain sensible precautions.
Genuine triple-camera versatility
Unlike many non-Pro phones that use depth or macro sensors to increase the advertised camera count, the Pixel 11 has three useful rear focal lengths. Google specifies a 48MP wide camera, 13MP ultrawide and 10.8MP periscope telephoto camera.
The main 48MP sensor has an f/1.7 aperture, optical stabilisation and a 1/1.56-inch sensor. It also provides Macro Focus, allowing the primary camera to capture close subjects with greater detail. The 13MP ultrawide camera covers a 120-degree field of view and is suitable for architecture, landscapes and group photographs. It is less sophisticated than the Pro model’s 48MP autofocus ultrawide but adds valuable framing flexibility.
The 10.8MP telephoto camera includes optical image stabilisation and genuine 5x optical magnification. Google identifies 0.6x, 1x, 2x, 5x and 10x as optical-quality steps, with computational Super Zoom extending to 30x. The 30x maximum is achieved through digital enlargement and software processing rather than a 30x optical lens. Image quality will be strongest at lower zoom levels and decline as the phone approaches its maximum setting.
Pixel computational photography
Night Sight combines image data to produce brighter, clearer photographs in dim environments, while Astrophotography is designed for long-exposure night-sky images when the phone is held steady. Face Unblur, Auto Unblur, Best Take and Top Shot help correct common problems after or during capture. Real Tone is intended to reproduce a broad range of skin tones more accurately. Magic Capture can record video and photographs with a single activation before automatically selecting and editing shareable results. Camera Coach provides composition assistance, while Add Me can help include the photographer in a group image.
4K video from the front and rear cameras
The rear cameras support 4K recording at 24, 30 or 60 frames per second. Optical and electronic stabilisation work together on the main and telephoto cameras, while Locked and Active stabilisation modes address different types of movement. The 10.5MP autofocus front camera can also record 4K video at 30 or 60 frames per second. Its 95-degree field of view helps accommodate group selfies and wider video-call framing.
Additional tools include 10-bit HDR video, Audio Magic Eraser, wind-noise reduction, speech enhancement and Audio Zoom. Digital video zoom reaches up to 20x, though detail naturally decreases at extreme magnification.
Unlike the Pixel 11 Pro models, the standard Pixel 11 does not provide 8K recording, Pro Stable Video or the same high-resolution rear-camera hardware.
Tensor G6 and Gemini Intelligence
Google’s Tensor G6 is designed to accelerate Pixel-specific camera processing, voice features, security and on-device AI. Its value is less about leading conventional processor benchmarks and more about the integration between Android, Gemini and Google’s computational tools. Gemini Intelligence can provide contextual assistance across compatible applications, helping organise information and complete routine tasks. Gemini Live supports conversational interaction, while Gemini Nano handles selected processes locally.
12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage
Twelve gigabytes of memory should provide ample capacity for Android multitasking, camera processing and Gemini features. It matches the RAM allocation of the 512GB Pixel 11, although the larger model uses Zoned UFS storage for enhanced performance.
The 256GB capacity provides significantly more flexibility than 128GB for photographs, offline media and applications. There is no microSD card slot, so the internal capacity cannot be expanded.
Actual available storage will be lower after Android, system applications and formatting are accounted for. Users who record extensive 4K video may still prefer the 512GB version or a suitable cloud-storage plan.
More than 30 hours of claimed battery life
The Pixel 11 contains a typical 4,985mAh battery, with Google listing a minimum capacity of 4,840mAh. It is rated for more than 30 hours of use under Google’s standard test conditions. Actual endurance will depend on display brightness, cellular signal, camera use, navigation, gaming and background applications. Extreme Battery Saver can prolong runtime by restricting background activity and limiting access to non-essential applications.
With a compatible USB-C PPS charger rated at 30W or higher, Google claims the phone can reach approximately 55% charge in around 30 minutes. The required wall adapter is sold separately.
Faster Pixelsnap wireless charging
Pixelsnap provides magnetic alignment for compatible wireless chargers and accessories. The Pixel 11 supports Qi2.2-certified wireless charging at up to 25W, representing an improvement over the preceding generation.
Magnetic alignment helps place the charging coils correctly and enables compatible stands, wallets and grips. Google also states that selected MagSafe accessories can work with Pixelsnap, although fit and full functionality should be checked individually.
Durable IP68 construction
The aluminium frame is paired with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front and back. Google specifies IP68 resistance to dust and water under controlled laboratory testing. Water resistance is not permanent and can deteriorate through wear, impact or repair. Liquid damage may also fall outside standard warranty coverage, so the rating should be treated as protection against accidents rather than permission for intentional underwater use.
Seven years of updates
Google promises seven years of Android operating-system, security and Pixel Drop updates. That commitment supports longer ownership and means the phone should continue receiving new features and security improvements well beyond the usual replacement cycle.
The Titan M3 chip, Tensor security core and trusted execution environment provide multiple hardware-protection layers. Google also includes phishing, malware, spam and scam protections within supported services, plus its VPN without an additional charge.
Modern unlocked connectivity
The Pixel 11 supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6, NFC, Google Cast and dual-band satellite positioning. USB-C 3.2 provides wired charging and data transfer. This model supports dual eSIM operation, with two eSIM profiles active simultaneously and several profiles stored on the device. Buyers who require a physical SIM card should verify the exact regional variant, as Google’s US specification lists dual eSIM rather than a conventional SIM tray.
A charging cable is included, but the box does not contain a wall adapter. The precise 5G bands, including mmWave availability, also depend on the regional model.
Who should buy this Google Pixel 11 deal?
The Google Pixel 11 256GB is best suited to buyers who want Google’s current Android experience and camera processing without paying for the larger Pro XL. Its 6.3-inch dimensions are easier to handle, while the 120Hz OLED panel and dedicated 5x telephoto camera give it genuine flagship versatility. It is particularly attractive to point-and-shoot photographers, Google-services users and anyone who values a long update commitment. The 256GB capacity should suit most buyers who use a mixture of local and cloud storage.
The Pixel 11 Pro models remain more appropriate for users who need brighter LTPO displays, higher-resolution camera sensors, 8K video, 16GB of RAM or extreme 120x zoom. Performance-focused mobile gamers may also wish to compare sustained gaming results with competing Snapdragon-powered flagships, as Tensor’s priorities extend beyond raw graphics performance.
