Colossal 100 inch Sony BRAVIA TV gets huge $1,100 discount in this Prime Day deal, its lowest price on Amazon by some margin
Table of Contents
The Sony BRAVIA 3 II is one of the company’s more budget-friendly options, as opposed to the more premium Sony BRAVIA 8 II or BRAVIA 9 models with their OLED displays. This LED TV can’t match those pricier models in terms of contrast ratio or HDR performance, but if you’re looking to maximize your TV real estate and buy a 100-inch size television like this without completely breaking the bank, it’s a fantastic option, particularly with the huge saving offered by this deal for $1,100 off the MSRP. The 100-inch Sony BRAVIA 3 II prioritizes scale, smooth motion and connectivity, delivering a genuinely cinematic image without moving into the far more expensive 100-inch Mini-LED category. Its native 120Hz panel, XR Processor and four VRR-capable HDMI inputs make it particularly versatile for sports and gaming.
Sony BRAVIA 3 4K TV (100-Inch)
The television measures approximately 87.75 inches wide, 50.56 inches high and 2.94 inches deep without its stand. It weighs 117 pounds before the feet are attached, increasing to about 120.4 pounds with the stand. Its feet span approximately 79.56 inches, meaning tabletop placement requires an unusually wide and sturdy cabinet. The installed depth is 19.44 inches. The stand has only one position and does not offer the narrower placement options found on some smaller Sony televisions.
Wall mounting requires a heavy-duty bracket compatible with a 600 x 400mm VESA pattern, plus a wall capable of safely supporting the television and mount. Professional installation is sensible because the panel is almost 7.5 feet wide and cannot be handled safely by one person. Doorways, staircases and lift dimensions should also be checked before ordering; the packaged television measures approximately 96.13 x 63 x 10.5 inches and weighs about 171.9 pounds.

What we like about this Sony BRAVIA 3 II 100-inch 4K TV
Enormous 100-inch image
A 100-inch television changes the viewing experience more dramatically than a modest improvement in brightness or processing. From roughly 10 to 13 feet away, the BRAVIA 3 II can fill a substantial portion of the viewer’s field of vision without requiring a projector, separate screen or light-controlled installation. Unlike projection systems, it can provide a consistent image without lamp alignment, focus adjustments or concern about people casting shadows across the screen. Streaming apps, terrestrial television and HDMI devices are also integrated into a single unit.
The tradeoff is that ordinary HD broadcasts and aggressively compressed streams will expose their limitations. Sony’s XR Clear Image processing should improve scaling and suppress some noise, but it cannot restore detail that is absent from the source. High-bitrate 4K movies, current consoles and quality streaming plans will show this television at its best.
Native 120Hz motion
Sony confirms that this model uses a native 120Hz panel rather than relying solely on a marketing motion figure. It can display 24fps films evenly, reproduce 60fps sports cleanly and accept 100Hz or 120Hz output from compatible consoles and computers. Motionflow XR 480 can introduce additional processing when smoother movement is desirable. This may help with sports and fast camera pans, although viewers who dislike interpolation can reduce it or switch it off for films. The native refresh rate distinguishes this model from many affordable extra-large televisions built around 60Hz panels. It provides more headroom for gaming and reduces motion blur without requiring interpolation when the source itself supplies a high frame rate.
Four capable HDMI 2.1 inputs
All four HDMI connections officially support VRR and ALLM, while Sony’s HDMI 2.1 feature list includes 4K/120, eARC and source-based tone mapping. This is a considerable practical advantage over televisions that restrict advanced gaming features to two ports. A household could connect a PlayStation 5, Xbox Series console, gaming PC and audio system without immediately needing an HDMI switch. One input is still used for eARC when sending lossless or immersive audio to a compatible soundbar or receiver, but three advanced inputs remain available for source devices.
VRR synchronizes the display with fluctuating game frame rates to reduce tearing, while ALLM automatically selects a low-latency picture mode. Sony also provides PS5-specific Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode, although the general 4K/120 and VRR features work with other compatible platforms.
Solid image processing for a large panel
XR Triluminos Pro is designed to reproduce a broad range of colors without making skin tones and natural scenery appear excessively saturated. Dynamic Contrast Enhancer adjusts contrast according to the scene, while XR Clear Image handles upscaling and artifact reduction. Processing quality is particularly important at this screen size. A 100-inch panel magnifies edge ringing, mosquito noise and block artifacts that can remain relatively inconspicuous on a smaller television. Sony’s processing cannot transform poor video into native 4K, but it should make mixed-quality libraries easier to watch.
There are nevertheless clear panel limitations. The direct LED backlight uses frame dimming rather than precise local dimming, so dark movie scenes may appear more gray than black in a dim room. Bright subtitles and small highlights can also lack the localized contrast available from Mini-LED or OLED models. This is fundamentally a scale-first television rather than Sony’s highest-performing picture system.
Dolby Vision, Atmos and DTS support
The BRAVIA 3 II supports the main HDR standards used by streaming services and physical media, including Dolby Vision, HDR10 and broadcast-oriented HLG. HDR10+ is not listed. Audio compatibility includes Dolby Atmos, DTS, DTS-HD Master Audio and DTS-HD High Resolution Audio. This broad format support is helpful when the television passes sound from connected devices to an external audio system through eARC.
The internal hardware consists of two full-range X-Balanced speakers with 20W of combined amplification. That should be sufficient for news and casual television, but it is modest for a display measuring almost 88 inches across. A soundbar with a subwoofer or a dedicated surround system is strongly recommended if the goal is a correspondingly large cinematic soundstage.
Google TV with Gemini
Google TV organizes installed services and recommendations into a unified interface, with access to the Google Play Store. Google Cast, Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit support provide convenient ways to share content or integrate the television with other devices. Gemini expands voice interaction beyond conventional title searches. Depending on availability, viewers can ask more natural follow-up questions, request recommendations using several criteria and obtain contextual information without constructing rigid commands. A Google account and internet connection are required for the complete smart experience, and some Gemini features require an update. Sony also includes a physical switch for the television’s built-in microphone, allowing owners to disable hands-free listening.
Sony Pictures CORE is listed with five movie credits and 12 months of streaming access for this model. This is a time-limited promotional benefit with registration requirements and changing content, so the terms shown at the time of purchase should be checked rather than treated as a permanent subscription.
Who should consider this SONY BRAVIA TV deal?
The Sony BRAVIA 3 II is intended for buyers who value an extremely large image more than premium black levels. It is well suited to spacious living rooms, media rooms, sports viewing and multiplayer gaming, particularly where a projector would be inconvenient or difficult to use during the day. Its 120Hz panel and four advanced HDMI inputs make it especially attractive to households with several consoles or a gaming PC. PS5 owners receive additional automatic picture features, but Xbox and PC gamers still benefit from 4K/120, VRR and ALLM.
Movie enthusiasts who watch mainly in darkness should consider whether a smaller OLED or Mini-LED television would provide better contrast for the same budget. Similarly, anyone expecting the built-in audio to match the scale of the screen should allow room in the budget for a soundbar or surround system. However, for buyers with the space, installation support and suitable viewing distance, the BRAVIA 3 II offers a compelling route to a genuine 100-inch television. Its strengths are screen area, Sony processing, native 120Hz motion and flexible HDMI connectivity rather than flagship backlight performance.
