Things to consider before buying
This is a great price for an ASUS ROG Strix dual mode monitor, but it does scale back in a few areas, which I think are easy to miss if you haven’t been writing about gaming monitors for years! One area that stands out to me is that it ‘supports DisplayHDR 400’, but isn’t VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified. What this basically means is that it’s decent for showcasing content in HDR, but it’s not good enough to tick off the requirements for the certification. Most purely 4K monitors around this price are VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified, so consider those if getting as much HDR performance for your buck is important to you.
